How To Add Picons And Setup Favourites On Any Spark Receiver

This guide explains how to add picons (channel logos) and set up favourites on any Spark receiver using the Spark Editor.

Adding Picons

First, create your picon images as JPEGs and size them to exactly 206 x 124 — this is important, or they won't load properly. Put them all in a folder on your PC, then:

  1. Open Spark Editor 1.7.
  2. Select the TV tab.
  3. Select Open and upload your channel list to the Spark Editor.
  4. Once loaded, select the ICON tab.
  5. Select Load ICON.
  6. Browse to where you stored your picons on your PC.
  7. At this point you probably will not see any icons appear yet.
  8. Click on a channel in the list. In the pop-up window, browse to and select the correct picon for that channel.
  9. Spark Editor automatically converts the picon to the correct format.

Once finished, upload the new picons to your box via FTP to root/spark/AppUserDb/icon. Spark also has a built-in Enigma2-to-Spark converter.

Setting Up Favourites

While Spark Editor is open you can also create favourites, which work like bouquets on Enigma2:

  • Right-click a channel under the TV and Radio tabs, select Add to FAV, and choose a FAV group.
  • You can rename the FAV groups under the Fav TV tab so they reflect the names you use on your bouquet.
