you may also have shot the boot area by pulling the power plug put the current bootloader (unzip first) into the hd51 folder tpp and try again

You probably don't even need an XML file, re-reading your opening post and the quote from some guy that puts only fastboot.bin on hiburn (which I presume is some section of hitool) you can probably just burn the bootloader directly to the chip then use the USB to load all the other files, as I suggested.

Delfi made various tools for that machine... I had to redo mine from scratch, too - and he helped... You need to do the basic re-flash, if memory serves - bootloader, whatever it was (it was a long time ago)... Before that try various USB sticks. Traveller works fine!!! Good luck!
