it is an original, or clone receiver? if it is an original, you may do not have the last secondstage, and all the (newest) images has been build in that. here is a section with 800se original secondstage, try to upgrade to the last one first, and than try to flash image... Start flashing an old image (prior to 2013), perhaps he never upgraded the CFE of the box (bootloader) so old images will be ok, then upgrade the CFE and flash latest images. Emo

If as you say, the seller has been experimenting on all sorts of images, then you won`t need to flash the bootloader again. Last bootloader was dated 2015. Is there an internal SATA Hard Disk connected? If so, disconnect and try flashing again. Flashing a new image is essentially performing a Factory reset. During the flash process it wipes, formats then upgrades the flash memory. A "Factory Image" doesn`t ever stay in the memory once flashed, or you can`t roll back an image as such.

BUT before you go flashing your box i also remember that there were at least 2 bootloaders.... That is where this whole "bricked box" problem started, when peeps were flashing there boxes with the wrong images and ending up with door stops If anyone can remember better than me, please let us know, otherwise i will check my old files…

Working well, installed on DM520 HD, CPU: BCM73625A0 Original box (Bootloader #103). sometime distorted picture on BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, ITV2 HD channels (Astra 28.2E). Frequency: 10847 MHz SNR: 15.2 dB - 11053 Mhz SNR: 14.0 dB Location: Duisburg - Germany Astra 28.2E Astra 19.2E Eutelsat 16.0E Hotbird 13.0E This is not the case on ATV 6.4 image (without distorted picture).

please try this Bootloader and after this image (again for ORIGINAL) unrar it hope will work normal if you flash over DreamUp, DreamUp (Japhar Flasher) put alone right SSL in flash, why here not don`t understand of course reboot after flashing
