This may not be relevent to DM800HD, BUT With my DM500HD clone sim 2.10 It is IMPORTANT to flash ssl84 (the original bootloader) before flashing a later bootloader in its place. Then flash the image. Also flash with a service cable with (sunray flashup) or (dreamup) its more reliable and you get more feed back during the process. Good Luck!

No, actually my HDD is a wetek powered 2.5" caddy and works perfect with Openelec / Enigma2 / Android, until the multiboot Uboot is installed. I'm back on the v1.1.6 bootloader aswell. V1.1.7 is far from ready for public release (in my opinion anyway)

Yes spot on with the resolution change it writes to bootloader if you change resolution in the set up menu also if you enable hdmi cec that breaks dual boot as well. I gave up with dual boot and installed 1.16 boot loader and have since swapped again to E2 on nand and Libreelec on SD card. You can also flash Android 1.17 to get the various updates and afterwards just reflash only the bootloader to 1.16. Effectively you end up with 1.17 installed but using the 1.16 loader it will auto boot to SD card if one is present if not it boots to nand, both files are available on the official Wetek forum.

Flash the latest bootloader, no need to update anything in between. Procedure is flash the image using the browser method, don`t reboot yet. Open another browser and flash the bootloader to match the image, now reboot..

I got a dm800hd with bootloader #72 with dreamelite image I need to update the bootloader + image to a more recent one due to need to use IPTV. I have an image blackhole with bootloader #84d what is the procedure to update the bootloader from 72 to 84d ? Do I jump from 72 to 84d or I need to update to 84 then to 84d ?
