…boot text. But. If I can get a serial connection. And if the bootloader is in fact operable. Would anyone know the procedures to recover or check the file system, write the boot screen, even an image. Using the RS232 port? FYI. The receiver worked flawless. No spontaneous reboots. And as mentioned restoring the factory Edision boot screen worked before. I also have the Broadcom bolt bootloader… -
(Quote from jenseneverest) Since I put in a firmware that was supposedly for it, it stayed like this, blocked only with the red light, I already tried to install the bootloader with several types of usb pen and the usb ports do not read. There is talk of jtag, what would be the jtag and what is the process, or how is it done?

(Quote from on_fire) not via rs232 no, but you should be able to get a log from rs232. Like i have said in the thread above i have no knowledge of gigablue specifically, and it has been years since i have had to recover a STB. As far as I understand it, OE-Alliance images with relevant E2 coding treat boxes with following criteria as "smallflash" A. Receiver that have flash memory of 128MB or less (there is a separate class for those with 64MB) B. Receivers that have bootloaders that cannot accept a USB flash of =>110MB but fine when flashed using ofgwrite. EDIT: 128MB not 96MB. Thanks Captain Solo 2 does not fall into the smallflash category. The wizard that is designed for boxes with small flash will not apply to it…

It is in the standby/restart menu. It will ask you mode mode to reboot into. The Zgemma H7 is in essence the same as the Mutant HD51. If you want to double check, then check for instructions about that receiver too. Also, double check that there is no bootloader update for your box.

…e: No. After turning off box, it would never boot again, no signs of life other than flashing front circular power light, and no response of any kind, no HDD spinning etc. and there was no flashing activity anymore after trying to flash images, bootloaders etc. I'm at a total loss what to do as Vu+ website offers no hardware support or customer service, and this was the only thread I could find from several hours of "googling". If anyone can help here, in any way, I'd appreciate it very much, in…

…mory but I'm not a very huge fan of this solution. Also, I noticed there is a UART connection on the board. Is there a possible way to use this? Or at least diagnose this someway? There is no visible damage to any of the components on the motherboard. I think maybe some memory leak bugged the bootloader…

…rt a SD-Card (FAT32) for 32-64 GB into the receiver 7. Through DCC or Putty give commands: a. cd media/hdd or cd media/usb b. root@dreambox:/media/hdd:# ./ATV.bin c. root@dreambox:/media/hdd:# reboot 8. Pull out the USB! 9. Look CAREFULLY! on the TV screen with the remote control in hand. During the Android boot process, you will need to select the second item in the bootloader…
