    Do you have FFMpeg installed (correctly)?


    You could install Service App from System Plugins and set up the Exteplayer3 as a default player...


    You can re-install E2iPlayer but apparently it's better to install E2iStream from Extensions...

    install new image 6.3 same error on E2iPlayer and E2iStream

    It seems to me our, newer version of FFMpeg is the problem for E2iStream/E2iPlayer... But I am guessing...


    Choose internal player or external gst player, instead of exteplayer3...


    But I am tired of E2iXxxxx stuff...


    It (that plugin) changes important libs etc. and it therefore creates problems... I'm dropping it, we have good PurE2 stuff instead...


    Kodi works, generally speaking, in newer stronger boxes, at least for some plugins I use, therefore...

    Yes, indeed - but I had to follow it up, to answer our users' questions and help them out, just in case...:cool1:


    But all things have a limit and mine has been crossed now... :) I had enough of problems with E2iStream/E2iPlayer, if somebody uses it they do it on their own, without support from me, sorry... ;)


    That plugin was great in weaker, older boxes, since it was written specifically for E2, unlike Kodi, therefore it was faster, lighter, used fewer resources and so on - but nowadays, with stronger HW and alternatives... Nah... thanx for the contribution to the scene - but its time is up, AFAIC...


    Mind, the porn fans would probably continue using it, much to the distress of SSS...:rasta2bigsmoke0gf1::laugh1::party-time::quiet::chuckle::loolz::saint:

    Would like to change from OpenATV 6.4 into Pure2. Normal procedure via USB osmio4k folder won't work. Any idea how to install Pure2.

    I installed OpenATV 6.4 via the recovery_emmc version.

    Recovery is not what is needed, if you have native multiboot working fine. Why do you push in a pig-headed manner, if it isn't working?


    Logically, if it isn't working one way and you have 2 types of files - use the other one!

    RECOVERY procedure (using *_recovery_emmc.zip files, which are in a special folder on PurE2 download page) should normally be done very, very rarely and only when absolutely needed:


    1) when you have issues accessing the MULTIBOOT MENU or


    2) if there is an essential update to these files.


    This is needed to avoid conflicts between images, as the partition layout (bootargs) is of huge importance.


    A small change can destroy all your installed images.


    So better not to install it, unless it's really needed.

    USB files are used for normal flashing of an E2 image into one of the already existing partitions.


    For instance, it looks like this: osmio4k-PurE2-6.5-20200707_usb.zip => this is to flash an image to one of the partitions...


    If you are just flashing an E2 and you are keeping everything else in the flash intact, then you only need the latter (usb) file!

    No, install FNC plugins and you will get the latest and/or PurE2 adjusted:


    FFmpeg

    Media Player 2

    SubSupport plugin

    ServiceApp (ExtePlayer3 and GSTplayer)


    Then, don't forget to go to each FNC plugin and press MENU to configure it properly (not possible in every FNC plugin but some do have it)...

    But you can build it into your channel list, as you can see in Ciefp's list, for instance... Ciefp has some kind of a conversion tool - I have never actually used it, sorry...


    Also, try with SayyiD E-Channelizer tool, which has plenty of jolly parts with that in mind but I am not sure if...


    Depending on the box, you can also use Kodi, for instance...


    But I do not have those "services", so ask others...

    Hi,hope this is the right thread to post this,i have a edision mio 4k and since april yes april I updated online my pure2 6.5 image which I had done before no problems but this time when I rebooted all I got was the pure2 image logo and could not go any further so obviously reflashed with a new pure2 6.5 updated image and no joy and then tried any pure2 image(6.2,6.3 or 6.5) old or new and still no joy so tried other enigma 2 images, satdreamgr,openatv etc and no problems as images flashed straight away but I do like pure2 images best so reflashed the recovery emmc pure2 6.5 image and it flashed straight away on my box no problems but reading on this very thread I see it is not a good idea to keep this recovery image on my box as it might cause problems or have I read it wrong but it is the only way I can have a pure2 image on my box and if it helps I have no intention now or never having multiple images on my box.any help appreciated.
