I've been reading up to try and understand all the c-band and other related satellite stuff.
I'm in US/North America and seems to be harder to find some info. most seems to be euro focused.
I haven't found clear answers in my searching, to a couple questions hoping you can fill in the blanks.
I'm sure this won't work but wanted to ask to confirm and get a little more detail as to "why"?
I would like to try and receive the equivalent of the popular channels that Dick and Dave carry preferably from a fixed dish.
If I do the following what issues will I have?
LoS to my closest Dick/Dave satellite >> disk/dave dish >> e2 / linux receiver >> openatv/ncam/etc/software >> softcam keys >> dick/dave working channels
Here are the issues I think exist: (I understand the LNB is different and E2 is not compatible?? Are there no nigravision2 keys?)
Another direction i was using is, IPTV but the paid providers were flaky getting 1-3 months service. Are the IPTV lists on here more reliable?
Does anyone have recommendations for EPG to go with the m3u files, for use with tvheadend/xteve for plex use?
I probably have more questions, but hope this will help me where to focus.
