Hello! So i'm new here to all this satellite tuner modification thing, as i've found few days ago in a e-waste bin an nbox 5800S satellite tuner, and i'm curious what i can do with it, as either i am blind, frasing it wrong, my search engine is drunk, or just no information about it on Polish forums. I would really appriciate some help and ideas what could i do with it. I have few things in mind though i have NO IDEA WHERE TO START as this was modded when i found it, and the orginal HDD is just gone and won't boot up to stock firmware when the jumper is set to other position. So i'm sorta stuck with linux 
That's why i'm here to get some help and maybe tips what i can do, and how to do it. I have no knowlage about most of the stuff, so please don't judge me that i don't know any of the stuff
With that said, i have a few questions about it,
1. Do i need apps and other stuff specificly made for this tuner?
2. Can i maybe copy over the Canal+ card so i can use this satellite box when the other one is off? And is it illegal?
3. Can i record the stuff from the satellite on it and play it back as a .mp4?
4. Do i need the remote to it? If yes, are there any IR codes for a phone with an IR Blaster?
5. Will i need a computer with Linux to do anything with it?
6. How the heck do i format the HDD?!
7. Are there any chances of bricking it? And if, can i reinstall Linux on it?
I would really appriciate help, as like i said. I'm new to this modding thing. I mainly know the very basics of using debian based distros btw, Thanks yall. 
Edit: So i've just noticed that the community that has those boxes i have is pretty dead YAY..
