So either it didn't like the user-agent in 6.39/6.38 or it didn't like the gzip. Considering how old this plugin is I am sure the gzip was in most versions of this plugin.

But if your image is old and cant deflate a gzip then maybe that was the issue.

I have updated the ipk on the official jedi thread.

the reason I use this one is that when I rescan in the new version BQM it does not save the new scanned bouquets when they already exist. With jedi I get the old ones next to the new one with same name.Less work and more choice

Looks like your playlists.txt file has become corrupt.
Sort the line breaks out in that file
