Don't know if this is any help but since Xmas time my card stopped updating in a dm500 running oscam and ran out of entitlements. I made a post about it here, paired it to an SD box and the card updated but it's never updated via oscam since.

Yesterday I put the card back in the SD box to update and noticed the channel listings are out of order. The sports channels start at 409, it looks like it's the HD channel list but with all HD channels missing.

After reading this thread today I checked the affected channels on the SD box. All other channels clear almost instantly but the affected channels take 2-3 seconds to open.

    I've changed absolutely nothing mate.

Come to think of it, my DM500 went tits up at the beginning of December and I put my backup image on a spare that I keep. Thats the only thing, no settings or configs have been touched.

Edit: In the last 2 hours 10 more EMMs have been written to the card and its now saying

classD3 ins54: no cw --> Card appears in error
    classD3 ins54: no cw --> Tier expired

    - - - Updated - - -

    Phewww!!! All sorted :)

Paired the card to an SD box, online pairing worked first time. Put boxkey in Oscam and all channels are back.

No idea why it stopped updating or why the online pairing took a dislike to the box. Very strange.

I've been on live chat and got the card updated to March but now even less channels are clearing and I'm getting: classD3 ins54: no cw --> Card needs pairing/extra data

Its paired to an Amstrad 780 and the card hasn't been in the original receiver for years. I've tried re-pairing online but it's asking for an 11 digit serial number and the box has only got 10. When I add a random letter on the end it gives an error 'The version number and serial dont match'.

I'm running a DM500 Oscam server that has always updated fine. Every month I leave the receiver switched on for a couple of days to catch the EMM then put it back into standby. I did this a couple of weeks ago then yesterday noticed some channels where not opening. Checked the entitlements and 5 ran out on 11/01/2017 with the rest due to go on the 19th.

I've left the DM500 switched on overnight again, turned on AU from clients and tried changing the PIN and its still not updated. When I did the PIN change it wrote the EMM to the card fine so I'm out of ideas.

Thanks for all the help, managed to get it working with a bit of trial and error and head scratching.

I put the latest OpenPli Maxvar image on and followed all instructions to the letter but couldn't get the Oscam webif to load up. Try a couple of things then noticed the one linked by Master G was the MIPS version so I downloaded the PPC version and it was plain sailing from there.

Cheers for the advice, I'll give it a go tomorrow. I've always used OpenPli on the DM500.

To be honest every time I've checked the timings I've had between 75-85ms in Oscam and around 0.1 in Cccam and never seen anything of note to worry about. I thought it might be to do with the Internet as the kids are always on the phones and tablets and uploading to YouTube and stuff but I've got 15mbps upload and never had a problem before.

As you say though my setup is well out of date so we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Hi guys, I have a DM500 server for friends and family running Oscam+CCcam. I set it up about 4 years ago and it's running Oscam 0.99.4svn build #3144. I've never really had any problems, never used a whitelist and was unaffected when the ECM times went through the roof on the sports channels a couple of years ago.

Just lately I've had a couple of mates complain about freezing on sports, one says its every 10 mins and the other says 2-3 times in a football match. I have a spare DM500 I would like to setup as a pure Oscam server to see if it runs any better. Can anyone advise what steps to take to run pure Oscam and still use the C-lines on my mates boxes?

    Thanks.

I've just gone through the online booking form and just before you confirm your order there is a list of all your cards and you have to tick which one you want the purchase to apply to.

    Excellent, Thank you.

Edit: just gone to order and seen this on sky's site:

Sky Store and Sky Box Office

All rented Sky Store movies and Sky Box Office events can be viewed only on the Sky box on which they were ordered. If you wish to view a rental programme on another Sky box, you would need to order and pay for it again on that other box.

it amazes me why the lost of this satellite's hd channels seems to give many people the impression that this hobby is finished, i couldn't give a hoot if they block all there channels there programs have more repeats than a machine gun. and lets be serious there are lots of other satellites and lots of the same channels
that the audio can be changed plus if it takes the same time frame as on 13e and they still have all the sd channels open, there will plenty to view from 28e for a long time yet, and i say lets enjoy what we have and worry when the lot goes down.

How many times have sly swapped cards?

With SD boxes the software is limited, so even if they card swapped chances are it will be cracked if not already cracked.

HD boxes will be slys ultimate goal, But how do they get SD subscribers to change boxes without giving away free HD and covering all the costs? And even if they do swap every SD box running into millions whose to say that HD wont be cracked in the meantime making all Slys hard work futile ?

If we stay on the same cards then I agree that SD may be available for some time. I don't believe for a second though that if the cards get replaced they will be shareable in any way, or in a way that would be easy for the hobbyist.

When the blue cards got replaced it didn't take long for the white cards to be shared but hardly anybody knew what CS was back then and it wasn't the massive problem it is today. They're blocking HD channels now on cards and receivers that are 5 yrs old, just think what they could do with bang up-to-date cards and technology.

I don't think people will have watched it and thought "now I know about this I'm gonna cancel my *** subs and get me an F3". The average viewer will have believed every word of bull**** the programme said.

I came across a post on ***'s forum where someone had posted that a workmate had been bragging that he supplies all the *** channels for £10 a month using a box that connects to the internet and the poster was aggrieved that he paid £80 a month to *** and wanted to know who to report him to. There was then a string of replies saying "I know of a bloke who does it too, I've sent details to the mods". The majority of people just aren't comfortable doing anything deemed as "dodgy" or "illegal".
