Hi, What sizes are the Picons used in SKY.NEW Skin V2.5 by Chababu. Eg The MUTV picon in the 1st and 2nd screen and the E4+1 picon in the 3rd screen.
I use the 8 bit 100 x 60 transparent white picons mate...

i have installed this skin and it looks great but I have a problem when I go into plugins menu on my box the red and green icons are at the bottom of the plugin list but the info on what they are for is missing ( I do know what they are for ) when I click on one it does not load the menu to add or delete plugins it just goes to full tv screen and I have to exit out on remote to get back to plugin menu .....is something missing ? thanks

THANK YOU SO MUCH Chababu, that is a really generous solution offered! Hopefully others will also benefit from these slight tweaks as I found that it made the skin even BETTER than the official theme.
Theres no pressure, whenever you get some free time please post it as my friends and family will be very pleased too with the new aesthetics.

For those who are getting the issue on no "mini tv" on the top right hand corner of the channel list. Or no EPG being shown for next programs whilst on channel selection list. I found the following fix:
Whenever IPK is installed - it for some reason brings "lib" and "share" folders in root.
I noted that newly placed "lib" contained the updated "converter" and "render" files needed within usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter.
This then fixes the issue on the mini tv display in top right hand corner when selecting a different channels. Hope this post is of use.
For those who have requested for the picon and next epg descriptions on the infobars as follows:
ftp the attached 3 files to usr/share/enigma2/SKY.NEW and replace the ones in that folder and restart enigma 2.

Beautiful and elegant skin - definitely a must have and a really nice New Years update :)
Just wanted to ask:
1) In the previous version of the skin -on the far right hand corner of the panel where it says "Press EPG for more" there used to be the channel Picon.
2) In previous version (on the VU+ Duo2 box, on Openblackhole) pressing "OK" on remote whilst on the panel would also bring up EPG for not just current program but ALSO the next program. This was very helpful to know the EPG of next show coming up.
Are there any intentions to bring these 2 features back in an updated version of the skin?

Thanx mate. I am glad you like it. I kept the 1st & 2nd infobar to look like exactly the Sly HD ones. Thats y i changed it in the v3.0.If you want an info bar with the channel picon and both the current & nxt epg info then I will have to customise it for you.
Will try do it for you tomorrow and i will upload it. Please do keep reminding me bcoz I get cought up with other work.

nope didnt work pal deleted everything with the same name, moved to correct folders without any overwriting. selected the new sky skin, rebooted box and same thing happened. just a black box when i press menu button.

exctracted the ipk with 7zip but cant even find where to put them files and is it the .tar files im putting in the dir or extracting them too?
The files location should tell you in the rar file you have extractedSKY.NEW folder should go to: /usr/share/enigma 2
Renderers to: /usr/lib/enigma 2/python/components/renderers
Converters to: /usr/lib/enigma 2/python/components/converters
Skymedium.tff and skybold.tff to: /usr/share/fonts

ok i give up!! been trying to put this skin on for 3 days solid almost i ran command in telnet saved the folder into dreamplex skins folder selected the sly skin in dreamplex pressed green button restarted gui. then my skin doesnt change and when i go to dreamplex i get the green screen of death. im running openpli 4.0
Sori mate. I hv bn abit bsy de last few days. U need to have the skin installed 1st to get the dreamplex 2 work.Ftp the skin manually with all the components and fonts.
Try:
Extract the ipk file usin 7zip
Ftp all the files n folders to their relevant location in ur receiver
You need both the skymedium.tff and skybold.tff font files in your font folder of your receiver otherws u will keep getting the screen of death...

Works great and looks awesome with the Dreamplex integration of the Skin! Thanks dude!! :)
Only problem I have is the text / lines on the playback screen. Everything is really close together and can't read the titles etc.....

Ok.. now i have another issue on OATV.
The skin all works as it should except for one small detail, the mini tv view stays when you exit the channel selection :(
I dont have this problem with the default Matrix skin.
Is this fixable as its pretty annoying... :(I have tested it with OATV and I dont get such issue. the skin has loads of graphics might be a memory problem with your box.

Yes...thats for the Dreamplex skin pack. You need to have dreamplex plugin installed in ur box.
the ipk file its just for the Skin but you will need the skin installed to have the dreamplex skin pack to work.

Installation:
Telnet command
opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk
You will also need to extract the SKY.NEW folder
Ftp it to: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/DreamPlex/skins/
The Restart GUI
Go to Menu->DreamPlex->System->Settings
Change Used Skin to SKY.NEW
Press Green to Save Settings
Exit DreamPlex and Restart GUI
To get the Dreamplex Skin to Work
This Skin is Based for OpenPli but I have added extra Screens to with with OpenAtv. I believe it will also work on HD Freaks & Open Blackhole.

Just put this on open black hole and just loops when starting the GUI, tested on Blackhole 2.1.7 and the green screen of death.
Box being used on is VU solo2 - non clone
v2.6 BTW

Yes put file in /tmp tried manually or even with usb never shows up I swear. It's an awesome skin
