Hi everyone,

so my solo2 has been working fine apart from the usual network issues you get. But ive shifted it into another room which has required me to use my powerline network. Now ive got the encryption working and it pings and talks to the solo from the pc in the other room. But if the unit is left on standby for a while, non of the encrypted channels work. The only way i then can get them to work is to then manually restart the mgcamd service on the box itself. This box is for my mom, so she cannot do these things. im running mgcamd 1.38.

as soon as i restart the service...bang the channels are back. im using a vix image. but i dont think its anything to do with this. it just seems to be since it went downstairs. im going to bring it back to its original spot again tonight and test it further. but ideas on this would be helpfull

sorry for the delay but ive been to busy to have a look at this in detail. Although i can say that its not the service providor as my friends have had no issues with it. So it definately looks like its something else. I will explain in more detail when i have time to sit down and test a few things out.

So ive had my box a few weeks now, but im getting some nasty stuttering. i can only say at the momment its a few channels as ive not tried many. But *** f1 hd is a real problem. Every few seconds it will stutter or stop or sometimes even replay somethign they have just said. At the moment as we speak im watching it live and recording it. Im viewing via my pc using webif. It does this even when im not recording something.

yeah top notch mate, got it all populated now. Ive never really messed with sat boxes before so its taken me 3 days of messing to get this far :-) all the free support is appreciated. What goes around comes around i say...i give family n friends and friends of friends a lot of my time with computer stuff for free so its cool to get some myself when i need it.

well this is odd, ive read that file is meant to be unstable...yet....now ive got my decrypted channels working...nice one mate. next step....the epg isnt showing whats actually on those channels.

i dont have a clue where you put permissions on the box im affraid. i did change the cfg file so it only contained the above information. Now mgcamd is saying their are no keys installed.

Ive basically got most things up and running as i want so far. Im new to this satalite box stuff so bear with me. I had an openbox before and it was really simple to setup the mgcamd stuff. However on this one im having issue. Ive got all my non decrypt channels working but nothing else. Mgcamd is installed and running. I think i have a missing file...the mg_cfg file. Ive had a look around to try and find one. but the only one i could find doesnt seem to do anything. does anyone have this file...or do they think its something else thats causing the issue.
