How do I get the cams to work on my DM 500S?

The reception is not my problem it is the non-working cams I am concerned with.

The cams have been activated. Ethernet is not a problem.

I am experiencing problems with getting most of the encoded *** to open (I can't open any).

I have NO signal problems with Free *** channels. I get them all. I have done the most obvious an autoscan.

My *** box gets them all plus lots of trash channels/shopping/asian/etc. Signal on a *** box is excellent and all FTA open. I am getting cleared reception on 10.6MHz to 11.8hz, as above thread.

Using the info on screen on my DM 500S, I have 84% sig, snr 72%, 10,600Mhz H and the green signal strip shows about 80+% (steady), *** Comedy Channel, but the channel won't open.

How do I install Cccam on Neutrino?

Neutrino seems to be providing me with the best options.

Similarly, I am interested in getting my old dm500s up and running again. I have loaded 15.0d, but I have a problem as I live most of the year on Costa Blanca, Spain.
I have a 2.4M dish with centre feed. Signal on a S*Y box is excellent and all FTA open.
Does anyone have a BACKUP suitable for my location, in Spain.

I have looked in "Camd-info" screen and it reads "FTA", "using fta".

I usually have to use channels in the 12Mhz band for decent signals on my S** box.
I do get channels visible on screen, but a "Service scan" "Scan transponders", has given me only 17 Tv & 14 Radio channels (31 in total) around the 11.5/11.6 Mhz region.
Can I upload a replacement channel list?

I loaded the latest file and I still am only getting FTA channels. Just like basic 15.0c.

It seems as though the cam files are not kicking in at all.

Thanks Pete. I have downloaded it and ran it. Did as you advised in your PM. NO joy using /var/etc/CCcam.cfg details as provided. Saved & tried again repeatedly. Is it possible for you to check my actions?

I have been driving myself crazy here. Doesn't help being so remote.
I have been using Dreamup to load the file and using a Null cable. Seems to work partially.
I just used 15.0b option to upload the internal update 15.0c from the on line option. I get virtually the same as with 15.0b, just the Freesat options (not Freesat Music) in the bouquet lists. But, NO S** originated channels opening. Listed in bouquets and with EPG, time, locality set to W. Europe.
When opening channels from S**, I get "Error" "channel not available".
For instance ITV4 Sig 95%, SNR 51%, BER 0% 9750.0 Mhz V (S**)
Freesat ITV4 Sig 97% SNR 92% BER 0% 10716.0 Mhz H
Just noticed how low the S** freq is.
I seem to believe I usually use a 12Mhz freq range locally.
When I do a scan I don't get higher freq's.
I am using the bouquets included in the latest listing from the 15.0b offered on the backup on this site.
How do I get an alternative higher freq listing?

Thanks AB. I have done as you suggested and the results are disappointing.
1) Freesat channels are clearing (none B4 reloading)
2) ANY S** channels are still NOT clearing. Including F2A chanels,(shopping, religious, news etc.) Although strong signal of 87%, snr 80%, ber 6%. The premium channels are definitely not clearing, but the basic F2A channels such as BBC, ITV are not clearing.

I keep on getting "Error", "channel not available". The white card is inserted, signal is excellent, but same old "Error". I can see the listings in the EPG with signal strength. But nothing fromS** clears.

I have reloaded 15.0b backup to get the above.

I've given up on 15.0c until a backup comes along.

Anyone got any ideas???

I updated my stb to 15.0c - DB500s clone- with the option from the inbuilt menu of 15.0b (Matrix backup). Via wifi.

I get a pic of the earth from outer space, when I select a channel I get "Error channel not available".

Strange the signal meter shows about 80%, sig=91%, snr=69%, ber 3%.

I live on the costa brava in Spain, my dish is 2.4m.

My free to air channels are the same. The white card is in the DB500s

My S** box on the same dish and lnb works well for F2A.

I have set the time, locality and updated the epg. All are visible.

I understand that the "ukcvs 15.0c" download is for F2A, so what am I doing wrong? I can't even view FTA on my Db500s using 15.0c.
