KiddaC As most will agree this is a great app. So apologies for making this suggestion

I know having a "favourites" section for the Series isn't currently possible. And this really is the only thing that is missing.

So what about a "Recent Search" folder instead that just remembers your recent searches? In this folder then you could have the option to select one of our recent searches which would do a search in the "ALL" category and bring you to the search results. This way you could find your Series quite quickly without having to type it into the search over and over.

An option then to remove listings from this folder would be handy (for when you are finished watching a particualar series).

I have always had timeshift enabled automatically after 2 seconds. Have a 64gb usb connected to box. And it has worked fine and always been able to rewind live tv.

But I'm trialling a Zgemma H8.2H box at the moment and as soon as I enable timeshift my channel stream just freezes. Really annoying me as to why . I've used many other zgemma boxes and never had an issue on them. Was just wondering if anyone had come across this before? Even with timeshift disabled if you try and pause live tv (IPTV stream) the box just locks up. I think its just an issue with this particular model.

KiddaC Any recommendations for timeshift settings (To allow for pausing and rewinding of live tv?)

Lad As Urie has mentioned. Timeshift is actually a recording in the background. So unless you have a multi connection account, I presume that is expected behaviour for your line to stop. Maybe in the past, your provider wasn't as strict at closing down a line if max connections were met.

The skin is my slyk onyx skin. (or a modded version of my skin - as onyx is black - that screenshot is blue?)

The epg tabs as we call them along the top, is an old mod for older images.
Can be found in my skins threads as a separate ipk to install. (EPG Buttons/Tabs Mod). It probably doesn't work on many newer images any more as all the code for epgs has changed in many later images.

KiddaC my line is a multi connection line. So that isn't the issue. Even without a multi connection line you should still be able to watch and record the same channel. I've also tried multiple boxes (with single and multi connection lines) and all others work fine except for the Zgemma h8.2h. For timeshift to work I've always used the dvb(1) player (as others don't work). I'm wondering if the tuner configuration of that box could be different? I know it's IPTV channels so tuner shouldn't matter but I can't see any other reason why it won't work on this box but does for all others I've ever had. (And i've had quite a few ).

Any suggestions welcome.

I found that timeshift only ever worked correctly using dvb (1). Tried other players but they were all buggy for one thing or another.

I'll update when I have box imaged using 6.4. Just from reading up a few bits sounds like 7.x is full of bugs :)

Changing to 6.4 didn't fix the issue, channel still freezes once the timeshift starts. All checked with a multi-connection line and also having the same issue.
But the real strange thing is that I've checked my H9.2H which is using 6.4 and its working fine on that. I've double checked that all my settings are the same and they are but not working on the H8.2H box for some reason

Could someone try to explain but if I am watching a channel and I press pause button why does counter only go to -60 Secs and the repeats so you don't to know how long channel has been paused.

not as if -200 Secs or 3mins 20 Secs

here are two screenshots of one channel when on pause it was on pause for over 5 minutes, but I would not know that from screenshots.

You do not install another skin. That key sequence activates Metrix-atv the right way.

Afterwards you can to the menu, and reactivate your skin again with the skin-selector.

Metrix-atv of the image is one of the skins, that might NOT be activated by the old skinselector, but via the konfig-tool MyMetrixLite.

I did try this , but it did not make any difference.

Hi Mate, Asside from the counter issue, is timeshift working ok for you? On openatv 7.2 timeshift not working for me for IPTV channels. Once timeshift starts the channel just freezes. So if I enable timeshift to start after 2 seconds, then the channel will only play for 2 seconds and then freeze. I never had this problem in older versions of openatv and I'm using timeshift settings that I have always used.

When you click epg it brings up the graphicalepg I think it’s called. When you then press menu it shows a blank screen with no options

If you go via the set menus where all the settings are and go to the epg/graphicalepg. You can see all the options

Yes, I can confirm this to be the case. Looks like its an issue with 7.2

HI Folks, is there a way to get the box to show an image after bootup if startup channel isn't streaming. For example, I use my own personal bootlogo.mvi. But if the box boots and if start up channel isn't working the box continues to show my bootlogo image so it looks like the box is still booting.

Is there a way to set a different background image once the box has booted up so if the startup channel doesn't play at least the box doesn't look like its still on the bootup screen? Thanks.

Big credit to KiddaC for his great Onyx skin.

On the onyx skin I made a few updates on the channel Selection page. Just moved the now and later around a bit on the left hand side to fit in a later description. Added in scrolling on the channel programs that don't fit also. Added a divider between the next, later , and even later shows also just to section it a bit.

If anyone wants to use it the XML is attached.

KiddaC I just noticed that in eventview on onyx skin the group sections don't show up at the top. They used to show on the slyk skin.

See my image attached....would it be easy to add them on the onyx skin? If you can help me out with this there might even be a beer in it for you :eye-tongue: Thanks.

I haven't added any dividers. Done a search in the code to see if that h-dividers.png is mentioned anywhere else but its not.

If that is it how come the Y position is 290? Would its Y position not be around 800-900?

In slim - there is a divider for the later programmes. Move that over to the left.

I'm using the normal screen (ChannelSelection)..........I thought that was it and I tried moving it but it doesn't seem to be moving it?

Its the "1454" that I was changing?

I like it, I must say.....nice and modern looking.

In my defence, I didn't say it was a bug :loolz:. Think if you use the alternative channel selection layout it squares off the epg list, but I'll just be using the standard look (with my one or 2 edits :loolz:)

Is it in the channelselection.xml some place where I can get rid of that line?

Decided to start using the onyx skin today. As i done for the slyk skin I decided to edit the channel selection page again.....just a few small edits to get in the "later" event and description on the left hand side. Will post the XML file when I'm done.

While I was making my edits I noticed that these is bar down in the bottom right that I don't think should be there? Tried to find in the xml code but can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. See image attached.
