    Hi M8.

Really appreciate your feedback as I was going to buy one of these from named seller.

I think it is all still a bit new and until there is more of an uptake very little will move with this type of box. All seems to center around XBMC which is fine if you are a fan but there are better Media Centers & management systems out there. I tried all of what is advertised as being on the Evo on my Intel NUC and to be perfectly honest it was just pants compared to my DUO2. This experience had been the main reason for me holding off buying an xfinity until I saw your post. So thanks again.

Having already had a Ruby and having sold it again for the exact same reasons think speaks volumes against jumping into to an Android based STB again just yet.

I love to tinker with new tech but Android is still pantz compared to proper Linux and neither yet has the variety of multi-platform, media & application support that a Windows based system has IMHO.

I echo the other responses. If it is only 6 months old then it must go back else you void your warranty messing around with it. That's assuming you bought it new, of course.

If not new and therefore, no warranty (I still try the original seller first) then:

Red light would seem to confirm that you are getting power to the unit.
    Can you use a multimeter?
Then check if the DC levels are present. 12V DC (HDD) & 5V DC (Mobo or HDD)

I can't really tell from the photo you posted but are you saying the PSU is now part of the motherboard? If so are you sure it's an original box coz normally the PSU is a separate board to the left at the back (looking from the front) as per the lin posted by mckee25 above.

Some more photos of the complete insides might help someone help you further.

    any ideas?....

Wow, is that ever a bargain or what. Shame I don't need another box at the moment but I bet it's gone already anyway or if not then someone is seriously missing out.

Trouble with circulated lists like these is that they change without notice and often. So the older the list is the more likely it is to be well past its sell by date and no longer functional.

are these channels working for anyone? all I get when loading from the USB which is shown in Home Media is "playing error" all the channels are listed, except the German file which tells me there is nothing in it

I'm seriously looking at getting one of these but as sinky states, there's not a lot of info about them, particularly from owners. I suppose I could order one online, play and if not to my liking send it back within 7 days but would prefer a good, honest user review to push me over the edge.

Editor, Sinky mentions, is here BTW

BT OK here too after O2. Funny for me is I get limited on .torrent to PC only. If I use NAS no limited ever so far but yes like all other ISP they blocking stuff I likes to use a lot so I using proxy a lot. ha ha.

Hi, I'm Nikkas and a bit of a football addict. I notice that there seems to be a lot of interest with channels on the 7 east in Nilesat.

Before I go and buy something I would like to ask if is it worth going for this satellite and will a wall mounted Maxx Digital Solid LITE 120cm dish be good enough on a Dark Motor?

Sorry if this has already been covered but I could not find any related information about this specific dish anywhere.

    Thankyou muchly

PS I live near Bedford BTW

This should kill off the F5s type box scammers nicely. No doubt we will see the drones running back to mummy sly in droves and watch the share price go through the roof. Good time to invest a little in Cisco as well.

Just hope the box sellers are well stocked up with their rubbish boxes. Noticed already discounts being offered left right and center.

Ah well back to feed hunting.
