I think also, but no CCcam 2.2.1 on openvix 4.1.... it's not listed under the vix extension or in the linuxsat-support plugin. Don't want to risk it :)

I read somewhere that iDreamX might corrupt files when we transfer them to the box? Is that true? If so I might have to play around with filezilla... Something I haven't done since I was managing game servers years back hahaha.

steps taken :
with iDreamX
FTP -> the cccam2.3 to tmp
FTP - > cfg to etc
Installed cccam 2.3 via the Vix menu (install extention from tmp)
wrote my Cline in cfg (keeping all the rest of the text) with iDreamX
rebooted (whole, not only the Gui)
still the same issue.
deleted the CFG
with filezilla
FTP-> cfg
wrote on cfg the Cline with Filezilla text edit
rebooted whole (not just gui)
Thought it worked as i was able to change channels between the different satellites, but then it stopped.... [slams head against wall]

Strangely , after a while it seems to work fine now... are CCCam becoming like diesel cars? they need some time to heat up?
I'll report back if i run into issues again. Thanks all for your help (but FYI, i think IdreamX isn't good for editing cfgs). Some channels though work, and once in a while i get a message saying : SID not found in PAT - although the channel was working 2 mins before (the channel in question in Canal+ in CSAT on 13'0 - really having a tough time with that channel)

Why didn't you use cccam from vix plugins download?
As via Vix the cfg, prio aren't installing. And I trust MasterG's work
FTP into your box and navigate to usr/softcams..... delete CCcam 2.3.0 and then do a full restart of the box. Then re-install it.
Tried. It still randomly stops. It stays on certain sats : 28.2 and 19.2 when I change sats (13.0) also vice versa it stops. Or just really randomly stops.
The only thing I didn't do yet is uninstall completely, full restart install via ipk. I'll try that later on today.
Also strange, and the reason I changed from BH to Open Vix is when I am on my solo2 with an older version of Open Vix I get all the channels I want with my CLine. But I can't get them all on my zero or solo se v2 (BH or OpenVix) ... So I'm testing to see how I can get all the channels working. It's a hassle.

I'm having an issue with my CCcam (downloaded MasterG's 230 for OpenVix via linux support plugins). it keeps randomly stopping. i tried to reinstall it also manually via tmp/pk.
Tried to search the forum, but couldn't pinpoint my issue.

Thanks all for your great support (again!). I was able to resolve the issue. When i installed CCcam 2.2.1 and 2.3 and uninstalled the 2.1.3 it erased my CCCam cfg. so i installed it again, and CCCam cfg reappeared... and now by touching the blue button i could select the CCcam i wanted.
So everything is resolved - except that my dish moved i guess due to the high winds here and i only get 32-39% of signal on Astra 28.2, so i need to fix that now (bummer!).
is there a CCam (2.2.1, 2.3 or 2.1.3) that works better then another?
---> now going to get a Vu+ Zero ready :)
Patience is a virtue.... I do have a 16gb that was formatted by an OSX machine - my windows is on a parallels, so maybe thats why it's slow. Once the 8gb has finished i'll format the 16GB. just don't wanna take the chance of it be longer with the 16Gb. it's at 70% now lol.

Ok, i would like to thank you guys for your help. Indeed, the HP tool helped a lot (i didn't realise how import a good formating tool would be useful).
this next subject might not be at the right place, but i tried to search the forum before asking (maybe i am a bit tired), But I'm just stuck now with the CCCAM.
I installed TS Panel, went to Linux-support installed Ccam 2.2.1, 2.1.3, and alternative softcam manager from the BH 3 folder, found the CCcam.cfg in etc/ on the box. But can't chose or start the CCcam in softcam manager. I doesn't show anything.

Are there any other devices connected to the box when you are trying to flash it???
Make sure you format your usb drive with the attached program before you copy the image folder over to it....
There should only be one folder named "vuplus" on the usb stick.... inside this it contains all that is needed.
Yup HP Tool has been formating my 8gb stick for over 30mins now (strange no?)
no other devices attached -> only Ethernet & Satellite
only 1 folder vuplus as mentioned above.
yes its a genuine box.
i have two folders vuplus & solose. In solose i have 5 files (force.update, initrd, kernel, root, splash).
the issue is strange as i can see it uses the usb in the begining, then it just pulses, like if the job doesn't finish. As when i flash BH, i have the BH boot image, then it goes to the original Vu+ image. I even get an image from a channel.

i just tested a 3rd usb, even with the original image it won't flash. very strange.

Hi all, long time not been here... I hope you are all well.
All was working fine on my other boxes...
But i'm back as i need some help with this new box (Vu+SoloSE V2).
I got it today, tested the box all worked fine with the original image, so decided to flash.
I had my lexar 8gb usb with which i flash my Vu+Solo2, so it's fat32 and always worked ( i even formatted it twice to be sure). And i have a sandisk 64gb (yea i don't really have suck small usb's aroudn the house)
I Downloaded OpenVix 4.1, and Blackhole 3.
tried to flash both, i even waited 30mins to see if the led would flash but it kept pulsing.
With OpenVIX when rebooted i got stuck on the Vu+ original image, and stopped there. stuck. So decided to flash BH.
With Blackhole, i get the Blackhole boot image, but then it goes on the Vu+ boot image and starts the original Vu+ image....:oh:
Any help would be really welcome
PS: i would like to stick with Blackhole, as apparently it has Kodi already :))

both end up with the same message.
Let me also explain some history. I haven't flashed that box for ages, in fact never have. Then suddenly the other day, i put the TV on in that room, and the box boots, but stays on the first screen, and froze. I saw the led flash red and voila... nothing. I tried rebooting, unplugging, talking to it, giving it massages, etc... Nothing,, it' stayed as a stubborn little box! so i decided to flash it.. and even that the box doesn't want.
ok thanks for the update and information.. i do have an issue though. When i try to flash it via bowser... it says invalid image (or old version) as per the screenshot... would you be so kind and tell me what is going wrong? I'm more used to play with Vu+ lately :D

thanks for the link, but it says "unstable". I thought this one was stable... would you recommend it for a CCam use and long lasting? I mostly use SoloVu+ but i need this 500HD to work where it is without issue... so is this one recommended, or would recommend me another rom with CCCam already pre installed?
