You are mixing up terms. A software update performs a software update. opkg will not downgrade packages unless you force a downgrade at command line. A reboot does nothing to software. Flashing newest image is different to performing a software updates.
On PLI release images, software updates and weekly builds are normally just channel lists and satellite xml updates and rare/urgent bug fixes.
Your dxhold command is working around whatever issue there is. Anyway, you are sorted with your workaround.

These OE xx numbers are not useful. The images have versions and numbers/dates. It would be better to specify so we know exactly what is being tested.
Unless you have a unicable LNBs, you cannot independently configure 8 tuners. If you are using universal LNBs, you have two configured tuners. The other 6 are "FBC automatic". FBC automatic just means 'internal loop through" when required.
Thanks for the description of hardware. I have a dm900 with a satellite FBC tuner, so I should be able to test that for you although I don't have a motorised dish.
Please don't forget to post the link to your other post.

I have the same module but in a DM900. It works fine on ATV, PLI and ViX in my tests. Everybody's setup is different, please explain in detail what the reception hardware (dish, LNB, switch) connected to your receiver is.
The FBC tuner code in VIx is from PLI. There is obviously no official support by PLI for the Dreambox, so that is a possible issue. The FBC code in ATV should be same as VIX. They moved away from the daisy chaining code they previously had. I do however remember a conversation where I had to stipulate that both physical inputs can have two different LNBs.
Which exact ATV image ( version and date) are you using?
Where is your other thread on this forum? Might be an idea to have one thread for this particular issue.

A reboot shuts the receiver down. It starts it up again. A reboot does not install anything. Nothing will change on your receiver unless you invoke a process that installs things.
Do you have a script that runs at startup? Perhaps from your provider?
The version on the pli plugin server is December version. On stable versions, they do not update their plugins regularly, just bug fixes. If you install from the pli plugin server, it will install that one.
Might be an idea if you reboot using the command line and see what it shows. Or in debug mode.

The favourites bouquet is actually a system bouquet and not an ABM bouquet. Just like last scanned. ABM does have the option to place it's bouquets above or below other bouquets, although the default and what most people do is place at top of list.

His issue is not the image/s he is using, but the fact that he is using a ci/ci+ card. Nobody has his exact setup, so very difficult to test. The fact it's terrestrial services makes no difference to the issue.
One effective way he will get his issue fixed is by allowing one of the developers/coders to remote into his receiver and test code.
Once some code is fixed, it permeates to other images over time.

Persian Prince had bowel cancer. I am pretty certain he has passed away.
He's not responded to several messages, there have been no manual commits to his repositories, just ones by bots.

Unless the drivers are installed, you won't see the WLAN options.
You have already been advised to install the drivers on the PLI forum. Use the plugin menu to download and install the drivers and reboot the receiver afterwards. Not just restart Enigma2.
You can install by command line using
opkg install enigma2-plugin-drivers-network-usb-mt7601u

Recent oscam version use other modes of compression that will need to be installable from your image's plugin server.
Surely Pure2 allows you to restore settings/plugins after you flash a newer image. They are based on ATV. Even if not, most of of your configurations are stored in /etc/enigma2/settings. You can save to PC and restore this to your newer image.

He has not said which version of PLI he is using. A reboot wont re-install a plugin unless he has python files in the directory. That being said, PLI build their release images against commit hashes. 9.1 is built against dd9fc8b4e3ff39551da8787160f2eb84256ada10 Developer image is autorev.
Xstreamity commit referenced (Dec 20, 2024)
https://github.com/kiddac/XStreamity/commit/dd9fc8b4e3ff39551da8787160f2eb84256ada10
https://github.com/OpenPLi/openpli-oe-core/blob/release-9.1/meta-openpli/conf/distro/reporefs.conf#L232
The only way that this is happening is that he is re-installing PLI and that installs the latest one on the plugin server. Re-installing is significantly different to rebooting. If he is performing software updates, opkg is smart enough to not downgrade.

Install the secret feed. Then install the softcam from the plugin server.

A question (maybe stupid) from someone having a very poor linux/enigma2 skill, sorry.
Is this an openpli image just compiled specifically for the DM920? Or am I wrong? Thanks.

Yes, it's for a DM920. There will be different threads for other receivers. Which model do you have?

Helvetica, Unless you upload your debug log, nobody can check. Do you use a non-regular network setup? Do you use a vpn or are you blocking google's dns server or using your own one?
For now, download the latest vix image using your web browser on your PC/laptop. There is no need to unzip it. Using FTP, transfer it to /media/hdd/imagebackups You can then flash it without having to download it through your receiver.

That plugin does not crash unless your plugin is installed.

The crashlog is attached.

All the best in your new place.

openmultiboot uses kernels from main image. You are better off trying with a proper image to avoid complications.
The audio selection code is different between images.
