A USB stick is not a network device.
Can you not go into folder using FTP and permanently delete the "Damaged" folder?

You have not answered the question.
Anyway, If the system is set to use a trash folder, it will always create/keep the. Trash folder.
Your options:
Empty the folder, (folder will remain but will be empty)
Use dream explorer to delete it, it will come back later (but will be empty) ,
Format the device if you have nothing to keep on it. (Make sure you format the correct device).
And what do you think the trash folder is called if not .Trash
In essence, it is a recycle bin. I'd leave it.
Have you tried disabling the use of trashcan in the image options?
There are just over 60 transponders in use by Sky on 28.2. Would be odd for just one to be affected. Alas, it seems you won't perform a manual scan, so we won't know how well you are receiving services.
Do the usual tests, check f-connectors, damage to cable, damage to LNB. If everything is well, adjust LNB/dish while checking that TP. We had similar issues when BBC. HD changes occurred, people were adamant there was nothing wrong with their equipment.
Posts about CI module moved into own thread.
You have set mode to "Positioner selecting satellite", this is wrong.
Please change it to "single". Like in this picture from post 13.
Can everybody else trying to help please not mention anything to do with scanning until he has the tuner set correctly.
Forget scanning for now, set the tuner correctly first. We can do the scanning later.
Wrong
Mode = Diseqc a/b/c/d
Correct
Mode: Simple
Use remote to and press right/left to change it to simple.
You are wasting your time going into signal finder, scanning etc. Set your tuner correctly first. Once you tuner is set correctly, the rest of the system should not let you select satellites that you have not set/cannot receive.
Set the tuner with the signal wire as: simple, single, 0.8w. The one without the signal wire should be set as disabled/not configured.
If you don't have 0. 8w in that list, it is not present in the xml file. Please check if you have a satellites.xml file in /etc/enigma2 (that is the user version location).
Are you saying London Live was fine on previous frequency or 11656 Vertical was fine?
Perform a manual scan of 28.2, single satellite. How many channels do you get? You should get more than 850 if there is no problem.
When setting up your receiver, setting/configuring tuners correctly comes before scanning. Once you do that, you can only scan what is available to you. So forget scanning for now.
The tuner configuration is in the Reception menu on OpenATV.
You said you have one LNB. You did not say whether it was a universal LNB or Unicable LNB. Nor did you say how many wires go from LNB to receiver. For tuner configuration to be correct, it must match the hardware you have.
Provided you did not install a channel list that has a modified satellites.xml file, you should be able to sort this out.
1. What have you set/configured your tuner as? It should be set as: Simple, single, 0.8w
2. Perform a manual scan instead of automatic scan, you will have more control. Use remote to select the correct satellite to scan
Thanks for the response. It will have one tuner card with two f-plug sockets. once it arrives.
Just for thoroughness, you don't need the splitter for that hardware setup as there is internal linkage.
Benefit of using splitter is both "root" tuners have direct/indepent access to the LNB. ABM, CrossEPG will therefore be able to work without having to alter tune priority. Cheaper to get splitter at outset than later.
Yes you can use the splitter.
Have you got one tuner card (I. E two f-plugs sockets, 8 tuners) or two tuner cards (I. E four f-plug sockets, 16 tuners)?
Posting a picture of menu, Information, Devices may avoid confusion.
ATV also has AutoBouquetsMaker pre-installed. That plugin will make bouquets for several providers.
ATV calls the "tuners and scanning" menu "Reception" . You can configure your tuners to match the equipment connected to the tuners in that menu. As in the PM response in the morning, most people in UK will have a 28.2 LNB. So if that is what you have, simple, single, 28.2.
If you have a Wideband LNB for SkyQ, it won't work on Enigma2 receivers.
The satellite dish is outside your house. How many LNBs do you have? What types of LNBs are they? How many signal wires go to your receiver?
Unless you invite us to your house, only you know that.
Can you not flash an image and start afresh?
What about the current installed plugins and my tuner settings … etc
Am I supposed to reinstall and re-setting all these?
Well, if you were to restore things, you would restore the current unknown password. So, yes, you would have to start from scratch.
BTW, to install an ipk on a USB stick you do not reboot. Make sure no menus are showing on receiver, then insert the USB stick. If the .ipk is seen you will be prompted to install it.
It should work. Try updated Pure2 or another image.
Sorry, above me. Something for LraiZer or perterj
