If using Blackhole, no it doe snot work. You have to use EPG importer instead.
If using OpenBlackHole, yes it works.
OK. Fat32 cannot use symlinks.
Anyway, hopefully you know how to rename them picons now.
It is a file, just rename it like you would any other file.
Right click, rename, type new name (service reference of channel) , press return. This is why we added the SNP naming convention, too much work renaming them.
You should ask your image team to add SNP code to their image. As well as ABM.
Well I did ask this question. You do not want to answer. Your choice.
QuoteJust out of curiosity, what filesystem is the USB flash drive formatted in?
Forget the excel file. I told you that already. It was intended/provieded so you do not have to find names to use, oor think about where to get the names from
FORGET THE EXCEL FILE. IT WILL DO NOTHING FOR YOUR PICONS.
You need to rename the picons. Pretty sure I said that several times. If you do not understand, say so.
RENAME THE PICONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am posting response in your thread.
Waste of time looking at the file ,won't solve any purpose whatsoever. You have to rename the picons.
Other people would have copied a picon file to PC, renamed it, transferred it back to the picon directory. Check if it has worked. If it has worked, continue to rename next one.
If it has not worked, post on forum. As an example:
I renamed "skypremierhd.png" to "1_0_1_A2B_1A_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0.png.png" and also another copy as "1_0_19_A2B_1A_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0.png.png". Both picons are still not working. Please advise what to do next.
Then other people will tell him, he has duplicated the file type. He would then go and correct it.
Any success with renaming them?

This thread is for you to continue your picon support issue kianiadnan
I am guessing that your image/skin does not allow ServiceNamedPicons (SNPS).
For picons to show, their names must equal their service reference.
As an example, for Sky Premiere HD you must copy/rename as
1_0_1_A2B_1A_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0.png
1_0_19_A2B_1A_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0.png
I attach an excel file to list the names for you.
I am going to move your posts as they are deserve their own thread, Please post any further issues in your thread ( which will be made in a few minutes)
The Tosh request thread is intended for people to ask him to make extra picons.
That makes two of us.
Rename the tosh SNP picons with the service references. That is how picons used to work before SNP code was added. You already have a list of missing picons with the names to use. (Post 22).
Does your image/skin support SNPicons?
using the telnet console
cd /media/usb/mii
ls -a >/tmp/listofmypicons.txt
You will then get a file called "listofmypicons.txt", attach that file here
List files in that picon directory. Google is your friend. you will have to use ls command
There is no one particular file, the tosh picons have to be downloaded one by one form his download thread. Transfer all the picons that you want to use into your picon folder.
Just to clarify, you named your picon folder is called "mii". So all the picons must be transferred to that folder.
Why you did not use "picon" is another mystery.
Did you transfer the tosh picons to your "picon folder"?
Use only one picon folder. Whichever it is you want to use.
Delete the ones you do not want, transfer the tosh picons into the one picon folder you want to use.
Use only one picon folder please.
You have at least two picon folders
/media/usb/picon/
/usr/share/enigma2/picon/
Which set of picons do you want to use
Where are you transferring the tosh picons?
You have installed it.
Now go into your plugins, run the plugin.
After you run the "miising picons" plugin, It will create an output file in /tmp/
Then transfer the output file from /tmp /o your PC
Then attach the output file here
Please install this plugin
and run it.
There will be output in /tmp directory,
Attach it here so we can help you.
