HEVC/HD from Astra 19.2°E
Luxembourg-based satellite TV provider M7 Group has launched its first transmission in the HEVC/H.265 video codec.
The service is not intended for ordinary households. It is intended for corporate customers (B2B) who run bars, pubs and other places where sports events are broadcast. These customers must be equipped with newer receivers that support the HEVC codec.
Canal+ Action B2B broadcasts cover broadcasts of the UEFA European Cups, the rights to which in Austria are held by M7 Group from the new season.
