The Vu+ tuner works perfectly fine.

The Sundteks run in a semi-closed environment. They are independent of kernel issues of receivers. You can even use them in a PC and almost any receiver, not just Vu machines. If/when you buy another receiver, you can always re-use the tuner. If you sell it, you are likely to get more for it.

With regards to creating bouquets, you can use AutoBouquetsMaker which will do satellite and cable too. You can even combine them.

Thanks for your help. I have just ordered the sundtek usb tuner as suggested. I use autobouqet e2 for my sattelite. How do I use the autobouquet c for cable and where can I download it from , how to install? Is there a step by step guide please? Also do you have any idea where I can purchase vm line from? I want to be able to watch vm on my solo2. I understand that I need to purchase a usb turbo dvb-c etc however once I do is there a guide as to what I need to do. I also want channel list like I have on my sattelite is this possible? I heard of something called Autoboquets C but not sure where to download or how to configure. I have downloaded the latest xpicons for 28.2 and uploaded via fftp into media/hdd/picon.

When Icchecked only a couple actually display in the menu for my vu+ ssolo2. Can anyone please adviseme ewhy this is? What am I doing wrong. Has this got anything with the latest vix image?

Say if I wanted to add picons for 19.2 Astra fdoiIjust put them into the same picon folder? How does the solo2 two know which is for 28.2 and which ones are for 19.2 is there somethingin the file name?

I am a complete newbie for picons any help would greatfuly help

I am stuck between the Solo 2 or the Technomate Nano Super 2 There is a price difference of almost £80.00

I really need to know which one has the more reliable, sensitive tuner as previously I had a miraclebox and I was not happy with the tuner, it was weak.

Also is the Solo 2 actually dual core ? Everywhere I look it just says powerfull 1300 mhz mips processsor but doesn't say dual core , even on the vu website.

Thank you so much for your response guys. However for some reason I believe the sensible thing to do would be to go for the solo se as it's 70 quid cheaper. Do you guys know if mgcamd or cccam are supported on this model and if they are please any advice in which website to get tutorial or help from.. Many thanks

Having just sold my miraclebox premium mini hd I am in the market for a new receive. On paper the vu+ se is exactly the same as the solo2 other than the solo2 has a vfd, twin tuners and the ccapability to add an internal hard drive. For the price differenceiof almost £100.00 Ican not justify sspending the extra money. Thosefeatures are not so important for me anyhow.

Now which would you recommend? Are there any other differences that iI may be missing?

Or would you guys completely recommend another box?

I also wanted to ask if I did go with the solo se which image would the best to use? Blackhole or oopenvix?
