  • Patch Firmware Ariva 52 / 102e / 102mini / 103 / 103 mini /1 50/ 152 / 153 / 202e / 203 / 250 / 252

    Ariva update via RS 232 (if completely "vytuhne" and even lit display)



    STB Upgrade Program Erőmű 2.0.0.c



    1. Switch off the power switch back Ariva


    2.Link the second serial crossover cable (RS-232) with the receiver and PC


    3. Run STB EROM Upgrade 2.0.0.c,, set the correct COM port number -> Browse to find a new FW, for example. 1.03B5.abs or setting (DumpFile.abs)


    -> Include bootloader -> Next



    1,will appear : Synchronizing STBs... Please reset target!

    2.Now turn Ariva should appear: Done

    3.and starts stretching FW to the receiver (it takes about 2min.)

    4.after the program lists, see: table, ->Next

    5.FW begins writing to a receiver, DO NOT TURN OFF! (Takes about 3 minutes).

    6,successful program reports an upgrade if -> Next program goes into default tables see. Item 3. if -> Finished program closes - now switch the receiver off the rear power switch and disconnect the crossover cable (RS 232)

    Difficulties in upgrading and solutions (reposted)


    If it fails to properly integrate into about 10 seconds, there will be "Set STB memory error, Click Back to try again." Going a step back again Next, reset Ariva ....


    If does not help repeated attempt, try another COM port (port number), or try another PC with COM port (eg a neighbor), just older and a "ham". It might help to reduce the communication speed to 57600, I tried it.


    If you use a USB / RS232 can be a problem in it that can not handle high speed. Usually it is somehow wrong set COM port on the PC.



    zdec also recommends this:


    in the case of an infinite reboot loop can sometimes help you disconnect coax, it is not always necessary to record FW or setting. After disconnecting coax check BC. Smáznout troubled channel. (It can also do a radio channel).

    Bug in loadování ( "infinite restart") for me to solve even the latest Ariva Upgrade. (Unfortunately he did not indicate that it is ...).


    I turn off the receiver cradle, attach the cable to the PC, set up in Ariva Upgrade Port, Rate, Parity, mod - Upgrade + checked Include Bootloader and select the firmware. I give Next, the program lists Synchronizing Please Reset and up until now, turn on the receiver cradle back.

    wenn eine /etc/ConfFS/wbrfs_usersaver.xml vorhanden ist, wird diese bevorzugt
    (damit bleiben eigene Änderungen bei Updates vorhanden)


    neu:
    für User, welche mit den Display-Einstellungen gar nicht zurechtkommen, gibt es jetzt die Möglichkeit einen Standard für VFD oder grafisches Display zu setzen


    Hinweis:
    wenn ihr mir von den verschieden Boxen die /etc/ConfFS/webradioFS_sets.db postet, kann ich für die Boxen Standards zur Auswahl anbieten
    (Art der Einstellung muss "hier einstellen sein", Box-Typ nennen)
