Could not create lock file when I try to install that, i'll reflash and start again. I'll then install the addons panel.

Reflash seems to of done the trick, on the addons manager which seems like it'll be really helpful.

I have been using the same VU+ Duo for a couple of years with no problem at all, last week it froze with starting...... on the main screen of the unit. After trying a number of things I re flashed with the most recent version of black hole. I've had to start again with uploading CCcam which I'm trying to do but it wont download correctly. When I FTP the file over it tells me there's no space on the device, could someone tell me what this is caused by please or how I can go about fixing the issue.

Hi All,
Hopefully a quick and simple question for someone, I currently use BlackHole and find it great, works fine and really easy to use. On the other hand a friend of mine uses Vix and is having issues with certain things so wants to change to BlackHole.
How easy is it to change from one to another, could someone point me in the right direction where I can download the file to reflash the Vu+ duo to the latest version of BlackHole.

Been and purchased a long enough Ethernet cable and plugged it in, works perfectly, no glitching on the channels ( I had a small amount previously with wireless ). Now arranged for an engineer to come and fit a socket to get the router moved.
I can only assume that the router being as far away from the vu isn't getting a signal well enough? I'm using an official VU+ wifi connector as well.

Thanks Master G, i'll try that then disconnect as you suggest, i'll let you know how it is after trying to go back with the wireless option.

It's so frustrating that It worked absolutely fine, I've changed nothing now nothing.
I'm doing to try and get a wired connection it's just at the minute my vu and router are about 10m away from each other! If that doesn't work i'll make the Vu into a plantpot or something.

Ferdi, do you mean on DCC? If so it doesn't come up with my box at all?
For some reason my boxes IP address cannot be found anywhere which I assume is either a setting or fault somewhere? It's like there's no signals being sent from my box for anything to be able to connect to it?

I've just used the Network watcher again and the IP address my VU+ did have has now been assigned to my partners phone?
When I use the link Annie, it doesn't come up with my VU+ Duo, just the router, my laptop and mobile phones within the house.
When I opened the ini file in the DCC folder they all seem correct, Dream IP, is what's in IP on adaptor settings and gateway the same as my router IP, the local IP is what my laptop is.
The wireless network will now not connect at all, whether I type in the IP or up DHCP. So frustrating that it was working, I didn't change anything (that I know of) but now it doesn't work.
I'm thinking maybe start from the basics, I did a factory reset yesterday and started again, still didn't work. I'm hoping one of you will tell me I've been really blonde and done something very simple!
Currently I have my settings as
Use Device : Yes
Use DHCP : No
IP Address 192.168.*.* - (The IP I've used since I had the box) I've also read elsewhere to try 100 or 150 but no change.
NetMask : 255.255.255.0
Use Gateway : Yes
Gateway : 192.168.0.1 (This part seems fine - On DCC the green line goes to this)
ESSID : My Router Name
Encrypt : Yes
Method : WPA
KEY : Password from my router
Then it also states the ip, netmask and gateway again.
As always appreciate all your time and help :D
Direct crossover will not work, just says 'Network Not OK'.
Sorry for all the questions, no better off yet, will keep trying other solutions.
Will the direct crossover still work OK with it being used wireless, I have no wired connection?
I've tried both DHCP being enabled and disabled, that alone doesn't seem to make much difference, still get the same error.

I downloaded this and it also says the same IP that I've got typed in on DCC.
Any other safe reliable programmes that I can FTP with? Other than DCC & FileZilla?

Could the fact that when I do a network test it just constantly says Wireless Network, Please Wait.....
Doesn't say either connected or not?
I checked the DCC.ini and it all looks correct. Now changed DHCP to no and put in the permanent IP Address.

VU+ Duo been working fine and I've had an issue with the CCcams I have installed so been asked to re FTP it to my box.
I've tried to log in using DreamBox Control Centre using all the same details but I'm getting an error.
"Error 10057 in function Send
Socket is not connected."
I've checked the IP Address in the settings and they match exactly.
Any help would be much appreciated.

So sorry to ask such a stupid question, I've looked everywhere to see where I (or my little one) could of turned this setting on. When we watch any channels there's a voice explaining what's happening I assume for the visually impaired.
As I said I've not realised I've done this and can't find out where I can deactivate it?

Hi Master,
I've saved and TFP the file into var/tmp, I can see if transferred but when I click green,, yellow then down to manually install ipk packages it still states nothing to install, you have to upload an ipk package in the /tmp directory before you can install Addons.
