Not a probelm & the box is working.

This `se` version doesn't have the front display, just a single blue led, so after powering on at the back i pressed the touch power button and the usb stick started to flash/load, but its now black screen/didn't seem to fully load, tried the atv 2015 image as well, same thing.

This is a solo 2 se- if that makes any difference?

Update ; tried another stick and the solo2 blackhole backup image- loads reboots its self, and just for a couple of secs the linux penguin in the superman logo appears then black screen & no remote response.

Guys trying to put this on my vu+ solo2 se, tried the usb (with the solo se folder) in front and back usb but doesnt pick up flash, just boots into old vix image.

Any ideas?

Tried an N L*ne (ccamd) in oscam and it seems more stable again!

Got myself a new 32gb pendrv, used your telenet setup and was able to use plugin mover & record :-)

Unfortunately when i come back to the reciever next day it cant find the usb drive again.

Can you help/any suggestions ?

Hi again masterG,

After using my 55HD for a while I notice the net port drops out after about 3 hrs, unpluging & repluging the net cable can get ot going again for maybe 1~2 hrs.

have you seen this before with these?
Looking around I saw some earlier firmwares had this fault-do u know if this Hyperion v4 from apr `04 had this flaw?

I know some old DM500`s had faulty caps around the net chip causing this also- was able to replace them & fix one of my own.

Any knowledge of this intermittant net issue on these?

Ok for anyone that it may be of use to.

So far went back to Hyperion v3, net leds stayed on but ccc*m didnt, so edited entry from ver 2.1.2 to 2.3.0 and so far this seems better.

After i reloaded the image again, I mtd the hd at pt 3, restarted enigma, installed the plugin mover u sent and it saw the hd. So got some skins and s/w moved over :-), installed the latest ver of tsmedia(links work but are very slow in the main- would the proxy link u provided speed this up much?).
Loaded the oscam u provided and i also got the dnla configured so have access to my nas drive - YEAH!!

Ah good point - after a while the 2nd attempt i press ok and it had obv loaded in the background trying to inline update it just crashed and corrupted the firmware again, so likely running out of memory.

Will give that a try and the latest ts version.

Oh i noticed i am missing the addon to config my net so the box can access my Nas drive, is there a manual install one of these?

Awh man- for some reason it wont mount my pen drive, in plugin mover it lists in the top 2 lines just the flash used & free space both lines, when i go into setup with the yellow button i can see the pen drive but when i try to save it says not mounted. "nothing mounted at /autofs/sdb1/" -tried 3 usb drives and last there a 20gb h/d.
In PKT HDD mount manager v1.5 it only allows to choose /dev/sdb1/ and if i click the blue button(show devices) it lists 20gb h/d at dev/sdb:20gb

Thanks again, tried that file through addons and install ipk(having ftp`d it to /tmp).

It seemed to freeze (unless it takes a very long time to install-seemed to freeze at `configuring tsmedia`)?

I rebooted and the firmware had corrupted so Im just trying a fresh load again, loading the tsmedia file 1st, so far its sitting over 10 mins.

nano- from a friend, i have other recievers some given to me from my friend, some bought over the years(2~3 dm 500s, tm5402, 2 evoxfinity, eagle HD, openbox, 3 protek, then there are my old boxes form the `card` days, found my old 5400z from years ago when they 1st launched, been away from it for a while, but enjoying it again :-)

You my friend are the man- a gentleman.

All up and running, got this little box for £25, wasnt sure of it, the picture quality is excellant, now with my line working and linked to my Nas drive its the biz, will make a nice multimedia interface for another room in the house!

Do you know if there is a patch/addon to give me Tsmed*a, 1Ch*nnel etc?( i saw something about add ons to give links to other download servers Somewhere I think?).

Ah nano we must have been typing/posting at the same time- yes thanks got it running using Dcc.

Now just have to find a way to update some addons (Tsmed*a/!Chann*l etc) if poss as the server link is down broken in this frimware.

It was not a blind intensional jump on any thread, i had googled ipk oscam file to run ccc*m, i was not orig aware that the ipk files were different.

I understand now my reciever needs an sh4 type/compatable file?

My image is PKT_IPBOX55_E2_HYPERION_v4_FLASH apr 2014(apparently an OpenPLi mod file?), seems the download links orig within this image are broken. I had been told I could manually load using an ipk file.

I am totally confused/lost as there also seems to be multiple layout formats quoted around the net for getting oscam to run /emmulate cc*am.

Hopefully someone can shed some much need light on this for me before i resort to the fine tuning engineers hammer on said box.

The last channel list has a nice set of favs which i dont feel the need to change :-)

Got my 2nd xfinity last week, so loaded the last sept firmware, its been surprisingly good, the long boot time has gone and seems stable so far.

Cant get the channel editior to work- linked the 7-zip file from my pc programs folder etc but the tar.gz file wont load/show in the editor.

Anyone got a good guide to epg setup on these also?

Another thing I found good was it very easily found my home network pc and with no pauses/glitches in stream found & plays stored content/vids etc(can map the drives/folders/locations.

Just thinking - I can't seem to see /find the confluence skin on mine- maybe thats it- pre this skin and maybe the `load`/glitch it causes?
(just speculating some).
There are some things future firmwares could likely address / improve, but great box for the money, the xbmc feature I find fantastic (took a bit of manual updating to get it more how I liked it/more usable), but content is great, virtually no broken links, fast & smooth (and I am on a non fibre isp).
Getting a second one, with the sat, xbmc, internet browser/android pc function, access to lan storage all in one box, makes a great multimedia interface for any room for me.

Russell the thing is I downloaded all the update firmwares into the same folder for the reciever so I dont know which one, when I started to see all the messages on diff sites about it glitching I decided not to use them.

Any idea where in the menu it would list the firmware version / date?

Have one of these boxes for about 6 mths now.

Reading the freeze , reboot probelms here, thought I would add my experience if it may help anyone.

I found some of the firmwares caused probelms as was reported, but noticed this box is sensitive to heat, even on a very open shelf with plenty of space nothing on top or around that in time it would freeze, xbmc wouldnt work, i found that this stopped when not sitting on top of my other reciever, so I have it sitting on its own, but thinking because of this (as with some dm800`s) i plugged in a laptop cooler to the usb and put it underneath(was working ok without, but just had one sitting here).

My firmware is not the latest its about 2 back but seems stable these past months.

Oh when u press `ok` to list channels- not all are displayed it seems, but if u enter a channel number just beyond what isnt displayed it comes up. eg 979 was dis (28)and no channels listing in the low 100`s but when i entered low 100`s number from remote it listed the 19e channels.(it had scanned 19 then 28 obv).
