    Anyone else's movie channels gone, Mine went about 3 days ago, I rescanned and reloaded my channel list. Any ideas? Cheerz in advance.

    My movies went down 2 days ago like everyone else`s I (and I`m a newbie), did all the various scans, still the same shit, so movie channels are elsewhere in my menu and tomorrow I will manually move them back and save it is my plan!

  • Sly Dish meters

    Thanks, didn`t think of the iphone for an app, but I`m a tadd lazy and thought a plug in meter from flea-bay would sort it. Simples plug in the lead, I don`t have time to learn new shizzle, thought plug and play from flea-bay would be the simplest way!. Think I`m doing well as an old person playing Advanced Warfare on me Xbox One, can`t be climbing ladders though!
    BER and SNR... ???

    BTW - if the dish is really off, I use a very basic meter I picked up locally for less than 10£ to get it close, then an app on my phone or tablet to fine tune.


    Never done dishes before, I was always into Fibre optical cable shizzle, I feel like a wombel. always been underground, now with a dish Overground!

    Related to this (in a newbie old person post) if I have a box and dish (and a meter) that works in the Uk. Could I move the box to a correctly pointed dish (with same meter)in say the Canaries?

    I put your 1.2.50 fw onto my already ok box and it then went shight, and I was too hungover to play with it. no channels on either (blind or normal) cable scan, so took it back to where I got it from and they reflashed it, saying that fw was not suitable, but He didn't`t really look at it properly!
    Box is a mini combo btw!

    phoned them, they (lavatronics) tried to convince me it had to go back to Hungry, I then started a conversation of what constitutes a DOA and posted it back to them, they should have it tomorrow!

    my feed is good, now whenever I try to save a setting, the box hangs! grr, time to reset the box and start again!
    The other thing I have noticed is on box 1, before I scan for channels, I have a max of 160 plus, where as on box 2 (new one) I only have a max of 70 channels, does that mean anything to anyone?

    I noticed that if I spilt the feed, the signal goes shight, but that ain`t my issue, I cant seem to get the settings right or I am missing something with my new box, My other box is fine! grrrr

    Hi mate, I have 2 of these combo`s, one working one not, I tried to replicate the settings of the 1st onto the 2nd, it didn`t work. even uploaded the image from box 1 to the 2nd and that didn`t work! tried what you have said above, the cam on the 1st box id homecam (on virgin) I had issues with connecting to the server, but I have the green light, but when I scan, I get a channel list, but no signal and in every menu I have accessed that have the 2 power bars at the bottom (level and quality) are very very low!


    Any ideas?
