Cheers all, can't even find the original remote for the TV let alone adjust the overscan options. Gonna try a few other skins.

Have tried this add on in the past but have been unable to dind any VPN service that is able to cope with the increased demand at 3pm on a Saturday. The best I have managed is 5 minutes uninterrupted playback before freezing. I gave up in the end.

Trying to setup Vu+ addon front end on rpi running openelec. All seems to work but am only getting audio but no video. Have all codecs installed, any ideas????

Tried pretty much everything. Now my computer has bricked due to flashup freezing. Now I have a bricked laptop and dreambox. It'll be my phone next. Off to the shed to get the fixing hammer!!!!

Right..... the fixing hammer has done something. I've completely reset my laptop (listceverything) managed to flash openpli-4.0-beta-dm800se (although it said "bad sector 3) when flashed via browser followed by flashing dreambox-secondstage_84 - regs. dm800se.ipk (again, another error message) Have booted up the dreambox - No longer have no CA but now stuck on loading screen (trees, mountains and a lake) ????

Any ideas?

Will try now. Still having issues with the no CA. Will flashing this image resolve that?

Will try. Think I may be getting there though. Was only used to my old 500s so this is a bit different. Had no CA error which I think I've sorted with a handy tool found on this forum. Gonna have a go at flashing a new image using the usb to mini serial cable wotsit thingy. Will post back soon, no doubt when it goes wrong...... lol

Okay, some progress fixed no ca and now have ssl84d flashed to the box. Just need a good clone image/backup to flash to the box. Ideally one that looks like sly HD????

R 01 no CA found?

WTF. There is no null modem connection on the back...... Thought I'd just flash a new image to it in the hope that it'd be a quick fix. Clearly not, appear to now be the proud owner of a very poorly made brick!! :-(

So I tried booting up the box. The display simply said "SIM 2 & 4"???? Then the display says "boot 84". This flashed on the display pretty quickly so I turned it on and off 2 or 3 times to make sure I'd read it correctly.

Now it gets to the Initial dreambox loaing screen and just crashes? Not good.

Have just received a DM800se from the website Dreambox500c.org. It is very poorly built a arrived in what looked like a shoebox. It powers up but settings are all for Chinese satellites.

How do I find out which clone version it is and what would be the b3st image to flash to it???

I have the same issue. I have tried two channel lists from this forum.

E1.Rar - this gave me BBC, ITV etc but I lost Setanta Ireland & Setanta 1.

AB _E1 bouquets which gave me Setanta back but no BBC, ITV etc.

Would it be possible (for someone with far more knowledge than me) to see what the difference is between the FTA channels on these 2 lists and maybe find a solution????

To update...... I thought I'd gave a go at this. I opened dreamedit and opened up the E1 channel list from this forum as I know that the free to air channels worked, I highlighted BBC, ITV etc and copied them. I then closed dreamedit and re opened it with the AB _ E1 bouquets channel list from this forum and pasted the copied FTA channels in. And to my surprise it worked!

I'm sure this is incredibly amusing to most of you but for me it was a huge achievement..... hope it helps someone out.:06:
