Yes they will, I use mine in spain when I pop over but it's an arcatrom arc4 which is a quad core.

There's icefimes, prime wire, I stream, mashup, much movies hd, do a google for top xbmc addons and you will find them.

For a box look into an arcatrom arc4, fab box better than the others I've tried and I've had a few including minix, matricom etc.

I've had a few different xbmc devices, matricom mx2, minix, tronsmart etc.

They do all work but have niggling issues such as lip-sync, slow menu browsing especially with heavy skins, no digital audio passthrough through hdmi which was a big one for me as I use a home theatre system but more annoyingly was the fact that they all upscaled 720p to 1080p, my tv was saying it was a 1080p input but when checking the xbmc system/info all of them reported the display was actually 1280x720p (720p) so the resolution was not true 1080p :(

One of my contacts then found a gem of a device called the arcatrom arc4, does everything, true 1080p not upscaled, fast menus, and dolby audio passthrough through hdmi !

Or check your cross epg is not saving to internal flash instead of your hdd or usb.

Is the 4:3 format set to stretch 16:9 in av settings ?
Or is your tv format set to auto ?

The specs state that they can, setting is in lnb type.
Don't have an scr uni lnb so can't test.

Loaded n stream player off tspanel think it was off tunisiasat not sure but it's the only one listed out of all servers on latest tspanel 6.8.

Well there is a new image available but take note that personal backups won't work if upgrading to the newest image 2.0.1 or 2.0.0 so remember to take note of your setup details.

I had a vu+ duo receiver which kept turning off which came down to a faulty fan.
The one thing I didn't do was to tell everyone I knew that vu+ were the worst receiver I had ever bought as it was a one off incident.
I know of several people who own an amiko alien and we are all very happy with them, sure the enigma 2 images were a little buggy when the receivers were released but so has every new image when a receiver is launched that's why e2 is open source.
I think that your being over harsh with your opinion of an alien and are far too one sided because of your only experience with one.

Where is the epg set to be saved to in crossepg configure ?
Make sure it is set to your harddisk.
Failing that make sure your harddisk is correctly mounted by pressing two short presses on blue button, devices manager and make sure it's mounted.

Never had an issue with my amiko alien, proper good box for the money and an excellent pic that's puts my ultimo image to shame.
Plus there's quite a few teams developing images for it too which I'd say proves its not a bad box.
I agree with the above post that there are a few clones about so be carefully where you buy from.
Just shows that clones are normally made from popular receivers like the issue with vu clones.
