In my opnion the standard firmware is poor. Unfortunately Enigma2 is not stable enough, as it would be alot easier.

Btw I think multipack is saying no to the cancel option, not to my post ;)

As multipack says. I would move the server next to router and use a LAN cable. Or visa versa. Or get a long cable. You can mess about with the wireless card later.

Ok m8, sorry if it's faulty.
(Although, we were the last chance saloon.)
:-) ;-)

Ok m8, just a thought, it happened to me once, in the early days (lol). Have you tried uploading a sat bouquet list? Just out of interest really. I would have another go at flashing an image.
-
Just throwing my ten pence worth in, and it is definately pointing at the correct sat, its not picking up 23 or something by mistake?

Are you not connected to hub by your lappy? If not use the lan wire to connect to lappy and router and check.
You can always power off the server and start again.

Hi Guys
Thanks for all the advice and suggestions so far. I have all the tuts. shown and downloaded the CCcam.cfg files by Ten Below and master G and I will tell you it is not easy getting the hang of this thing. Do I flash the box with a different image and start all over afresh by installing a new CCcam.cfg or what? If so do I install the new CCcam with the remote in the blue panel? Thanks
I'n order for cccam to work it needs 2 things :1) the cccam program file itself, this has a number at end such as 2.1 etc. The number is the version. The program file if looked at on a pc would have .bin at the end. This means it's a binary file, which is similar to a .exe (executable) file on a windows pc. It is the workhorse and makes things happen. You cannot make changes to the .bin other than starting and stopping it. Or Updating with a different version. The one you have is fine.
2) the CCcam.cfg ( .cfg is a configuration file) which tells the cccam program what to do. The config can be amended by you, with you adding details. Which is what you need to do.

FTP using :-
An FTP program
or using the capabilities inside DCC, or using a config editing program like those mentioned andSend across the cccam.cfg and send into /var/etc on receiver.
Then either restart the cam via sub menu or reboot the box via the remote from the menu.

I would restart the process, it does not take long.
Are you sure its properly online.

Thanks to Mutz Nutz, Ten Below and Master G for all your help in getting me back onto the site.

That would be cool m8, TY, and sorry for the confusion....
Thank you, that was quick.

Hi Again,
Found this using the Search button above :-

Carmine, you would have probably been better getting a dm500 or similar. Don't want to sound too negative, but it's a bit like buying a 900cc motorbike and not knowing how to ride a push bike yet or what the pedals are for. Honestly, doing some reading will really help. I am sure the good people here will help, and so will I, but you need to read about the basics, its all here m8.

You can type it in, but normally there is a button that says "use current ip address" or something similar.
Rich.

Just basic, you don'd need anything else.
Just create a dnydns with a name you want in front of the dyndys bit.
Then choose the "use current ip address" or something similar to that (assuming you are logging in on same external ip as server).

Also,
This may be easier for you to add and amend the config :-http://linuxsat-shares.com/too…g-cccam-line-manager.html
Good luck

Carmine,
Just create a free account, it actually says "or 1.99". with the free one you get a couple of dyndns to use before it says you need to upgrade.Rich
