Yes you are correct about the coordinates. But you have to have the motor and dish aligned to thor in the first place otherwise you are never gonna get the satellite arc right.

    bo.

    Sorry but you are wrong.
You can't just point it at Thor and expect it to track the arc correctly.
The motor and bracket have to point south, I know Thor is only 0.8 west of south but what if you live at 3west, pointing at Thor would give incorrect arc.

    Your last step is incorrect.
You need to input your coordinates into the receiver, then drive the dish to Thor (or which ever satellite is closest to his location), then align dish assembley for max signal on that satellite.

i planted mine on 3 inch steam pipe cemented into the garden, its at the back of the house so nobody sees it anyway

^this. There's always a way around it. Hiding the dish low down behind a fence etc so it can't be seen from the road etc.
Sky won't do it, but your local independent satellite guy will.

    Hi All
I changed back to this option to get more details of whats on now but when I go back now all I get are the channel names and no info and for the life of me I cant get the programme details back beside the names of the channels

    - - - Updated - - -

what did you set it back to please so I can change it later on

Start at 100 and go upward to suit yourself. I stopped at 200 then adjusted the service name font and service info fonts to -4

Anybody else know what setting I've altered to stop current program showing next to channel name?

    *UPDATE.
Found the problem, I'd set "show columns" to 600 pixels.

    No.
    For example.
You know next to BBC one, on your screen shot, it says pointless? Mine doesn't.

Help me out here please. I'm not getting any program info after the channel name, what have I altered in the settings? I can't figure it out

Skyq uses a different type of lnb that isn't compatible with older receivers. You'll need to put up a second dish or get sky to fit a different lnb with a legacy output.
