ive never used scam before .is it a case of just installing it then running till card updates .or would i have to configure it like oscam
No need to make configs, just install and turn it on from the panel.

Try with scam, conax cards usually work very well with scam.
-
Go to menu / setup / system / osd / osd position setup and adjust the image from there.

Ubuntu is not blocking ports, somewhere else is the problem. You should disable ufw and see if they work like this, maybe it's configured wrong.
Have you started cccam and oscam already ? The portchecker will show them as opened only if you have traffic on them. -
Why do you think the upgrade failed ? What didn't work ?

You should always add users and server from the webif, if you add manualy you need to restart the server to work.

[newcamd]
key = 0102030405060708091011121314
port = 10000@0963:000000[account]
user = user1
pwd = pass1
group = 1
monlevel = 2
au = ***uk
keepalive = 1N: jungeratyourservice.dydns.tv 10000 user1 pass1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
If you folow this example it should work. Do you add users from webif or manualy in oscam.user file ?

Have you forwarded the 1#### port in your router ?

You can find everything you need here : Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall
But first you should update your version on ubuntu, 8.04 is too old and doesn't have software support, especially security updates.

This is a known bug of this image, you must go to /etc/tuxbox/timezone find your timezone and delete Europe/
After a restart it should be ok. -
It's correct, the second line should look like this :
N: 127.0.0.1 34002 linuxsat support 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

I wish this would fix my problem too. My problem now is main server used smargo. is it apply same config as above?
Yes, the config is the same. Your second server is in the same location as the first ?
-
It will do much more than 8 peers if they play this game fair.
-
With the hub and smargo connected try this :
ls /dev/ttyUSB0
or
ls /dev/ttyUSB1
-
where do i see in log that emms are written?
You can log emm' if you want with these settings in [reader]
saveemm-unknown = 1
saveemm-u = 1
saveemm-s = 1
saveemm-g = 1When you receive them, oscam will create a file in the same location with the config files.

2, 3, 4, and 5 are only to read, you don't put them anywhere.
