Hello guys
I just saw there is video of Enigma 2 running at WeTek Play at channel to which I am subscribed, so far this will make WeTek Play the only set-top-box able to run Android, Enigma 2, OpenELEC and Ubuntu, 4 different Systems in one small device :thumb:
-
I am using it with OpenELEC with WeTek Play and Unlocator DNS service, working perfect and probably best addon for XBMC in this moment for me with Pulsar Torrent streaming add-on :D
-
CCTV / security / bouncer, before that Military service.
Well as you are CCTV expert, just to inform you that my Hikvision cameras are woring perfectly at both Android with Hikvision android app (4 cameras paralelly DS-2CD2632F), while in OpenELEC I add rtmp url's, so who knows maybe you will test your stuffs

Frankly I would be amazed if I even get the time to unbox it to be honest. I work close to 80 hrs a week and in my free time I help out with a local hunt.
Hehehe then better dont unpack it as if you do then you will start play and loose free time :D

Yes and you can visit thread of development android builds of WeTek OS, recently they added pl2303 and ftdi_sio so now smargo v1 and v2, omnikey readers work under Android with Oscam :D

lol ok
as i cant seem to get an answer, i'll leave it and assume this box doenst support it.shame.
Well you can leave it or not, but at least you should email them, but ok, so far I could not find nothing negative for the price of 109 eur which I paid for my device, and yes i told you that my friend tested with his av receiver by spdif optical output and it works.

Here we go for those who seem to think I have a ulterior motive posting here or that I'm ****ting on the wetek brand, not that I will have time to actually use the damned thing.
well honestly i think you made good purchase, i was little bit researching and i see VU+ use same Availink tuner and demodulator combination, WeTek DVB-S2 Twin tuner module cost 10 eur, while VU+ one in germany around 50 eur. For me 40 eur is big money
Anyway i am prepairing streaming tutorial for wetek play at openelec, as i found that wetek can be used as iptv streamer in combination of MuMuDVB and udpxy plus oscam

Install just about finished, I will probably try all the other roms today as well,
did you find lollipop made your box very slow?Well not so slow, but it was visible that device is not so smooth as KitKat and Jelly Bean, but of course it is fully usable and responsive, one of guys at their forum says he is trying to port chromium os, and i am trying to get Enigma 2 beta build for WeTek Play
-
gerrykiddy, just connect to device by SSH and try this command: killall tvheadend , be sure that you enabled Tuner , and assigned Network to it.
-
yes, i tryed all Android ROM's from Cristian Troy, but as I am not big fan of android, I am only focused mainly at stock Andoid because of Netflix and Hulu, and OpenELEC for daily driver for DVB :D What makes me happy is that this is first device after Google Nexus Player to be able to run Android TV (based on lollipop) and it is dual core, i could imagine how this would fly if it is quad core

Things go wrong, its how a company puts them right that sets apart the good, bad the ugly, when things are fine you have no way of knowing how good a company really is in my opinion.
yes, good thing is that steve had issue with device, contacted them and same day his new device was on way to him, but also they collected for free his device which had issue with Micro SD reader
-
definitively is fresh change on scene and this device with this price is becoming so popular, of course it have excellent support
-
-
Yes you can make backup of all and then restore at any wetek by usb
-
