    hi all


    i am having trouble with opening a port.


    i have got a no ip accout and downloaded cliant updater made a host to !!
    i have put a static ip address in my vu+ duo !!
    then in router i have put a name ****** left applaction as default and put a port in ***** then i have put my box ip address in ***.***.*** left computer name as default and put same port number in ticked the box and saved and loged out . i have beed to CanYouSeeMe.org - Open Port Check Tool put my port number in and get this......Error: I could not see your service on ****.***.***.*** on port (*****)
    Reason: Connection refused. but i did notice its coming up with my no ip address not my box ip address ??? head is spinning now. lol

    im trying to get my vu+ duo ready for when i get a card. my problem is i have made a host with no ip but i dont know how to forward a port on my router im with V***** my router is dlink dir 615 i can access my router and find port forwarding but dont what to enter in the boxs????????


    name.......................applaction...............public port................--............
    ip........................computer name.........................privat port..............--...............


    this is what router is like dont know what to put in were the dots are ??????????

  • flashing dish sign on vix 2.3

    hi


    i started from scratch and back tracked everything and sorted it out. i started with puting motor back to 0 and got my compass out and made sure i was at true south. then i flashed my vu+ duo with master G back up image then whent to satfinder on box and picked 0.8w thor and inputed strong transponder ( BBC world news ) and got my lad to watch signals why i was moving motor West till got signal then tweaked dish and lnb till got best i could. then i picked couple sats on satfinder and all good. thanks for your help.

    i have got a problem when i pick bbc world on thor my dish moves but im getting no picture just the vix screen and a flash satellite in top left corner of screen. i dont know what it is. im useing super intel motor. please some one help lossing my mind with it.

    got a problem i have installed dish now. i have put satellite xml , channle list , and ccam 2.3 , oscam with ftp but when picking a differnt sat dish moves ect but get a message on screen ( Tune Failed ) im lost. and when i try to activate ccam ect it says i need a config file where do i get file from.

    well hopefully i will be installing the system tomoz only got brackets and pole up at the mo ( at work ) !!! once i have installed dish . need a dummeis guid for getting box running and settings for motorised dish and dual lnb

    i have just bought a full vu+ duo setup. i have updated boot loader and put vix 2.3 image on box but is the a dummie Guid or a walk through on how to set this image up for a dual lnb and motorised dish.

    on another forum i was offered everything but got to pay like you said dont know who they are ect. will keep reading and asking questions for now.

  • Got my Vu+DUO, where do i start ?

    well inslalled T & K brackets and scaffolding poll today all plumb. just waiting for dish to come now should be here tomoz hopefully been waiting week half. and still reading this is a new ball game to me looking forward to it but also not lol. but like to say thanks for your input so far.



    and i think it could be the drive i fitted had it yrs but will have a proper look and play when i install dish.
