I don't think its possible to get this Info using SLY....someone more technical may explain why but im sure its near enough impossible!

No mate.....the UI for these are very limited, you can add a channel list that will break favs down to categories but thats it....you will just see what channels are within this section.

I think this depends on which services you are viewing....i use this box for SLY and you seem to get now and next for the channels you view/browse.....its never completed unless you go on every channel lol
See they sell it with the 7 day epg but i think this is only available for certain providers of which SLY is not lol

Not sure i understand this one

You press Favs > Fav Channels or Bouquets should show > Select Fav Group or Bouquets > all channels are shown in that group/bouquet > select channel and channel should show???

The boxes are really just good for viewing the channel/picture.....it does that great...if you want anything else then you will be looking forever im afraid!

Use that last post in Ten Belows link to TSPANEL (You may get a warning when opening...it ok so just accept)

Link to you reciever and browse to the /tmp directory and copy the tspanel ipk to the /tmp folder

Then go onto your reciever and follow the steps in previous post to install the local extensions....if you copied correctly the Tspanel ipk should be there and selectable to install!

Install it and restart box then go to Plugins > Tspanel and view all the goodies!

See some images will have the option to download various plugins and cams from it plugin section....im not a 100% sure about Blackhole BUT

The easiest thing to do and will help you out in the future is installing TSPANEL....anything and everything you need will be on there - Cams, Plugins, Bootlogos, Channel lists e.t.c
so i would get that on there and have a browse of there! Most stuff is in the LinuxSat section of Tspanel all set out in appropriate sections/headings!

Give that a try and install Cam from there if you get stuck post back!

Vix is a good and stable image you just need to add the extras you like onto/into it mate!

Most of the images will miss the odd thing or 2 lol hence the reason we create the backup images for the Forum so all goodies are on there!

Its good practise though to learn how to add extras on so:

Either install TSPanel and take you Cccam plugin and any others from there.....they will extract and install from there and often reboot to get the plugin working!

or

Manually find/take ipk files from the forum then using something like DCC you can copy the ipk file /tmp on your reciever and then go to Menu > Setup > Vix > Manage Local Extensions > choose file and it should install

After that you will need a line to connect to a CS server either using Cccam or Mgcamd from the Network/connection settings in the Menu

I find it easier to setup manually.....you shouldn't go wrong then.....so go into the Cam Setup and select 'upgrade manually'

Depending on which one you use the layout will be similar

HOST = linux.sat.dydns.org (EXAMPLE)
PORT = 12345 (EXAMPLE)
USER = user1 (EXAMPLE)
PASS = pass1 (EXAMPLE)

Let us know how you get on!

Did you put c line in Manually or by USB?

Was format of line correct? Did you restart box?

Does it show as ACTIVE when you view the line from Cccam Protocol? And are you sure its Active from HOST?????

Used Seagate 500gb Internal HDD on a couple of Duo's

All seems fine....running a few months and records, deletes e.t.c fine!

Mrs doesn't complain anyway and since Hers and Kids Programs fill up most of it i'm sure that's a good thing!

See these openbox/***boxes are WYSWYG boxes....great for viewing the channels...picture quality good e.t.c they are just crap in support/add-ons e.t.c!

There closed source Linux boxes so unless the manufacturers release the goodies/addons you can't add/do much with it!

To delve deep into the hobby you need a Open Source Linux box like a Vu but others are out there....just look out for Enigma2 or Open Linux references!

It will be worth the investment buddy!

The X3 does offer a better User Interface and is faster though!
