What the 3.0 OpenVix don't think there is mate!?
As its been discussed in forum you will need to install your plugins/Cams e.t.c either through Vix Plugins/Updates or manually until this issue has been fixed/resolved!
All/Most ipks for the Plugins should be on the forum in some shape or form!
and the way to install has been discussed today in the forum also buddy!
One Word! Introductions!
You need to do some work with setting up you Oscam and Cccam buddy!
Not as simple as install ipk and it works!
When we refer to Configs and Logs.....these are the Config files for Oscam or Ccam and the Log files that are given if there are any errors or anything running!
Using the link Banny gave you...you should be able to setup the Vu using the Configuration Files to read and access the card!
That's the Million dollar question mate!
Pro's and Con's for both all within site!
Build Quality and Updates vs Price you pay e.t.c!
For example currently No Vu Clones can take latest Images with new Vu Drivers? What these Drivers e.t.c bring to the boxes hasn't really
been documented yet! But you can't use latest images as of yet! Although update is due soon! End of August!
Also there is a new version of the Vu coming out soon so that may sway you decision....but either way if you get a good one clone vs original (driver update aside) like for like!
Probably all the same just detailed differently pal!
Broadcom MIPS Processor Description from Suppliers/Distributors like Sat-Shop and Shops
Reliable HD Zapper - taken from official Vu Site!
Broadcom 333mhz MIPS just with speed of the processor included!
All should mean the same, im not aware of different versions other than Original and Clone!
Specs should be the same for both!
Strange...Probably one of the more easier things to do lol!
Have you tried different Version? Try and Older one? Are you using correct version lol 32/64??
Failing all that only other thing maybe program you ftp across with but clutching at straws now lol!
All detailed here buddy!
Just need to look
http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…-vix-image-3-0-204-a.html
TSPANEL is not compatible with new vix image so you will have to install the individual plugins/cams e.t.c manually by ftp to /tmp and installing local on you Vu!
Powered USB hub may bring ECM times down on readers!
May be worth a look!
I take it you chmod 755 it Banny?
Lol and i was just about to post that Info!
Glad all sorted!
Thread Closed!
Never seen mate...i wonder if its a Ubuntu problem as never seen on Debian and only hits i get on error are people with Ubuntu!
I presume you have installed drivers ok with no errors?
You could try re-installing or you may just have to restart when it goes down
some info here but you already posted on that
cheers, i meant where in oscam do i look? ie user one 300 ecms per min etc
is it under user and the ok type?
Open Oscam Webif and look on the Status Page!
3rd colum from the right [align=center][COLOR=#000000][FONT=Arial]LB Value/ Reader
you should see by my_serv (116ms)
That would indicate that say User 1 is requesting from your server (my_server) at 116ms
and if you look in log at bottom you also get the reading
2012/08/18 14:29:24 ******* c ******* (0963&000000/0000/0EF2/79:E76A): found (121 ms) by my_serv
That would indicate that say User 1 is requesting from your server (my_server) at 121ms
Seamouse,
I think its just more a case of being vigilant.....if you see a user hitting you with stupid ECM times....ask question why?
I dont think there's any set minimum so to speak....if i get a hit over 200ms its normally a one off so that may be a guide for you? Just keep an eye on it and trust who you share with!
You can set client reshare and anti-cascading to help prevent users resharing...info in links below buddy!
http://linuxsat-support.com/os…shares-oscam-n-lines.html
http://linuxsat-support.com/os…m-users-who-faking-2.html
http://linuxsat-support.com/os…u-stop-reshare-oscam.html
Have you setup ddclient on server and linked to No-IP account? I use DyDns though lol
It asks for all you login details e.t.c? when you setup?
Display MoreHi guys,
Quick update:-
I have now (thanks to the helpful posts and my own research!) managed to convert my Oscam/CCcam setup to just an Oscam setup.
Not completely what I was after but at least I have a much better understanding of Oscam now! :-)
I am now certain that one of my so called TRUSTED clients has re-shared his cline without even bothering to ask me, which has really p**sed me off! :ah:
Ok few more questions for the experts....
Qestion 1 - I was hoping to continue allowing some of my clients to connect using CCcam (and use Oscam to restrict the so called smart arses!). Is it possible to use Oscam to read the card whilst having multiple clients connecting via CCcam and some clients connecting via Oscam? The reason I am asking this is because I lost all clients from CCcam as soon as I changed my Oscam config!
You can setup to share using Cccam in Oscam by going into your Oscam Webif > Top Menu bar > Configuration > Then you will see an option for Cccam
Create the details for Cccam, add a port number and open that in router > then when you give line out use the Cccam port number instead.
You may find this has already been done if you have Cccam option in your Oscam.Conf file if not set this up either through webif or in the config file!
In your Oscam webif > Users - when people connected what protocol are they using Newcamd (MgCamd) i presume so!
Setting up both Newcamd and Cccam gives you the flexibility to choose dependant on receiver!
Question 2 - When monitoring CCcam info although I didn't see the troublesome client connected, I did see two/three remote client connections. Does this mean the client is proxying the supplied cline so I can't see him, and then sharing it on?
Not a 100% sure...but this game is all about Trust and leading on to you next question and statement at then end i think you have answered you own question! Get rid! IMO
Question 3 - Now I have my Oscam setup and all clients running on it I can see the troublesome client connected under the 'Users' tab of the Oscam web gui. All my other clients are showing their own public IP addresses however, the troublesome client is showing MY public IP address listed and not his own! I am guessing that this is another clear indication that he is perhaps proxying/re-sharing the supplied cline!?
Never seen this so would instantly be a cause for concern....Unless anyone else has an explanation id follow above and get rid!
Ok rant over and any thoughts would be much appreciated!.....?
P.S. I realise the obvious solution is to cut him off! :-)
Cheers,
Spodge
Comments above in Blue!
:62:
Buddy come on what do you think bro?
The port number will stay the same!
The Username and Password will be different for each line/share!
Do not use the same Username and Password!
e.g
my.server.org 43342 tom1 tompass e.t.c
my.server.org 43342 dick1 dickpass e.t.c
my.server.org 43342 harry1 harrypass e.t.c
No Mate read the start of thread!
TSPANEL is not compatable with New Vix image at the moment?
What file do you want? cfg???? do you mean Cccam???
You will have to find the ipk for the individual plugin you want and follow my steps!
e.g 1channel ipk > ftp that to tmp > install local > 1channel will be on box!
