normally what happens on Android platform is that the original author of exodus (lambda) releases an update with new sources once the existing ones start to die.
that's why I'm wondering who made the e2 plug in and maybe they've released an update

Exodus has been great lately on my e2 box with openATV image. However as of a few days ago it seem to only find SD sources for movies / TV shows.
Is there a version higher than 2.0? Does anyone know who the author of the e2 plugin is?

    Hi there

Just wondering if anyone knows how to get channels numbers in the same order as Sly on this box?
It accepts Enigma 2 lists but the only ones I can find are in no useful order.

Northern Monkey has already given me some advice, but just wondering if anyone has actually managed to do this.

    Thanks.

thanks carlos99 however that's a really elongated route to using add-ons.
The suggestion to go to an FTA channel does work, although the some FTA channels yield success while others don't. BBC 1 London works.

Am going to do some more playing around in the coming weeks to see if I can find a solution which will allow add-ons to work regardless of which channel is playing in the background. Will post back if I have success.

    Hi there

Those of you that have this android box will know that it attempts to replicate the functionality of other sattelite / cable tv boxes, meaning that as soon as you switch it on it'll automatically start playing a live TV channel. whilst that isn't a problem, I have found on my box that during playback all the processing power is being used up and you cannot open any of the xbmc add-ons, all I get is what 'working' message in the bottom right hand corner.

So in order to use xbmc add-ons, I'd need to stop the live TV playback somehow in order to free up some processing power, but that doesn't seem possible for some reason.

Does anyone know a way to stop live tv playback?

Hello folks. I have this box myself recently, bought it because it's an Android box with satellite / cable tuner all in one.
Now I know a fair bit about XBMC, have been using it for some 3 years to I was eager to get my hands on this box and have a play around with it.

This box has the MIPS processor and and XBMC/KODI compatibility for this processor is not present in the original XBMC/KODI software. So as far as I know this box has a custom version of XBMC v12.2 on it.
The 'custom' part of it is basically the following
-support for the MIPS processor which isn't present in normal KODI/XBMC
-satellite/cable TV tuning menus, which are also not present in the original KODI/XBMC software.
    -some other tweaks / feautures

So this is the reason why you cannot install XBMC/KODI versions 13, 14 or 15, as the processor isn't compatible

Even if you could install these versions, the custom satellite/cable TV tuning menus wouldn't be there. So I thought ok, lets keep the custom xbmc v12.2 on there, and on the side install the original Kodi v14 package on the box, but that's not possible and the installation fails half way through, because as mentioned above the processor in this box isn't compatible with original Kodi software.

The only hope of getting a newer version of Kodi onto this box is if the manufacturer (or 3rd party) makes a newer Kodi port for this box. I'm guessing the reason why the manufacturer ported xbmc 12.2 originally for this box is becuase at the time the box was released onto the market last year, 12.2 was the most current xbmc version, hence they constructed their custom version of xbmc based on 12.2.
