is it a loop back issue ¬
if i want to connect to my server on local you must use LAN ip 192.168.wot.eva - - - -
perhaps there is looback issue if you try using dns or public ip =you only use public ip or dns from a remote location/peers

wicked avatar ¬ take a moment to make an introduction post please mate and i will have a think - i flashed my tm600 the other day and had a similar issue
Dont worry ¬
its a good question though -
i assumed that they refer to oscam program running - perhaps like "task manager" and the Http client being Apache ?
However now the question has been asked i'm sure a more knowledgeable Answer will be forthcoming !
Be sure its nothing to worry about dude ¬ unless its not there
Display MoreHi everyone,
I'm new to this sat world, I just got a VU+ duo box, loaded the latest BH image, uploaded cat's eye channel list, all looks good so far... BUT I seriously started thinking to return the box and get my money back ...and here is why:
My problem is:
are all theses boxes(TM, DM, VU+, etc) made to work only by being connected to internet? ..because I cannot have mine connected to the internet, my 3g router cannot connect to internet using my mobile broadband connection usb stick, however I can only use it for PC.
It doesn't need to be connected to the internet for Free To Air channels HOWEVER if you want to take advantage of its potential then YES an internet connection is required !
Please make an introduction post introductions/ And take a moment to read the forum rules ¬ Thanks

you dont need the spider box if using a rf modulator u come out of the vu duo with the scart into the rf modulator then out of the modulator to the uhf in on the booster then that will send a signal to all the tvs in the house
If your not planning on using the spiderbox anywhere else in the house i would leave it above/below the vu+ box and loop the fixed dish input from the spider onto the VU+ via the satellite I.F Loopthrough ! That way when your watching summit on the motorised duo input the fixed dish signal can be used by the spider allowing you to watch different channels at the same time in a second location connected via existing cables ¬ IF of course your not recording onto the duo from the fixed dish that is ¬
As per the previous post if you just want to use the VU+ to distribute signals around the house limiting your best bet is the modulator i posted a link to !
hi mate thanks for reply but this is getting really technical
Let me remind you where you are Carmine :snicker: LINUXSAT-SUPPORT LoL
Go back a post and check my last reply lol ¬ Sometimes taking on the challenge can be very rewarding and worthwhile in terms of Value for money ! Yes i know it worked before BUT so did black and white TV transmissions, owever were not all still using that system are we ?
using a cheap rf modulator will solve your issue for no more than £40ish ¬ EBAY LINK
:sheep:Looking at my post count shows i'm in search of a life - just in case you find a spare one listed whist perusing Ebay
:rikjaard2:
I'm sure muso uses a cat5/wireless iptv disribution system ! That way you could have different channels in different rooms if you leave the spider in situ and use the I.F loopthrough ¬ assuming the spider has I.f Loopthrough !
