ok welcome to the playground ! Him over there ¬ he's the biggest >>>>>>>>>>>>>:taxman:

No seriously you made the right move old son ! Everything you need is here ! Avoid being shy ! If you need some direction just ask !

most installers will want about £150 minimum i'd say ¬ after all a good one will leave the you up and running with years of pleasure to come - its not really expensive when you consider how much time they may have spent perfecting the art of a "motorised install" - As you have found out yourself,Many so called PROFESIONAL installers run a mile when Motors are mentioned !
Listen to mckee ¬ Its not that difficult if you can follow instructions although some specialist equipment is required starting with a decent hammer drill !
PM me and i will give you a link to an installer in your area who i know of if you like !

Buy your own equipment and get someone to install will be the most sensible option financially - shame your so far from me here in Devon or i'd offer myself !

The box you have is capable of everything you could possibly want to do with it ! Just get yourself a decent signal/dish set up and the rest will fall into place !

I think the concept you are both missing is the EagleBox are £45-£49 which to many is the bottom line...

in my first reply i clearly stated the quotes below

Budget will of course be a concern.............none the less its a cheap bargain in terms of starting out and HD

    second post ¬

still at the bargain prices you can get them for i understand the HD temptation ! great to start out on and in (kids) bedrooms !

Again though it is actually worth Stating the price £45-£49 - which is an absolute steal for any set top box right ¬ Geee what do Freesat Grundig or alba boxs retail for in places like Argos and curries ? Bless

    :rikjaard1:

This box really trades off the back of its earlier conception ¬ The eagle box ! Which was a clone dreambox500 sold by alsat and coded by a fella called anrak i think ¬ summit like that !
it was and still is a good clone But its not HD ¬ the newer eagle box hd is a slightly better built openbox imo !

still at the bargain prices you can get them for i understand the HD temptation ! great to start out on and in (kids) bedrooms !

dont bother with those eagles mate in my opinion ! you will be disappointed ¬ avoid spiderbox too if you really ask me ! Budget will of course be a concern ! get yourself a VU+ uno or solo ¬ You'll never ask yourself what if - Just save a a few weeks longer ¬ The result will be satisfactory !

    :rikjaard2:

Of course there are other clone type enigma2 boxes available too i just think the eagle is very basic sorry to sound miserable or big headed !

Yes its easy to set up tere is plenty of online support !
Not sure about two tv's tough -
possiby with a video sender but i dont think it has RF output !
none the less its a cheap bargain in terms of starting out and HD

Back to basics ¬ try a different ethernet cable ? Global reboot - That means everything _ Then double check via router when everything has rebooted for I.P clashes !

is the macine visible via the HOME NETWORK page of the router ?

Buy a foreign subscription like TRING dude overall its cheaper than *** and has all the footy! That way you can get a share from someone else who has the uk subscription for example !
