I have 3 local cards, all Sky CAID 0960's. Two are from my main package, and one is just a freesat card.

Every time I reboot my machine, each Omnikey gets assigned a different device number.

So my first card with all entitlements was device 0 is now device 2 after a reboot. And so on for each card.

This causes problems as I set specific SID's to be descrambled by specific cards, and obviously when they change, and the card is was replaced to does not have that entitlement, then it cannot be descrambled until I figure out and change all the device numbers round in OSCAM for each reader.

Is their a method I can use to make sure each Omnikey stays as the same pcscd device number?

    Thanks!

I have a Sky UK CAID 0960 Red card that I activated off a Thomson SD box that I use in my OSCAM server.

I want to activate a new secondary card that has some different entitlements on it.

Can I activate it on the same Thomson box?

I wonder as the BOXID for 2 cards will then be the same right?

Will activating my second card deactivate my first card?

    Hi,

I wonder if anyone can advise me.

I have a 0960 card in an Omnikey with the following os/software:

    Debian 8 Jessie - 3.16.0-4-amd64
    TVHeadend 4.0.9-13~g64fec81~jessie
    OSCam r11273 1.20-unstable_svn

In the server I have the following hardware:
    TBS 6909 Octo core tuner
    TBS 6205 Quad DVB-T tuner
    Omnikey 3121 USB Cardreader

I am successfully transcoding streams using FFMPEG, however I am finding that once I get to 30 or more concurrent streams the ECM's start to randomly spike in OSCAM, causing timeouts.

None of the DVB-T streams drop, as obviously no CWC sharing is required.

What I am seeing in TVH is:
2016-10-11 20:08:48.396 cwc: Got unexpected ECM reply (seqno: 43264)

And on and on and on.

So the problem must be either:

With the card actually being maxed out?
With the card reader being limited? Should I try a more powerful reader?

    Or...

    Something in my config?!

Any help will be really appreciated!

    Thanks

    Hello!

I have CCCam installed with my local card.

I don't have an entitlement for a specific channel, but a friend whom I can share their entitlements from, does.

How can I tell my CCCam configuration to use a specific share(and not my local unentitled card) for a specific channel?

    Thanks!

well all I want to do, is buy a quad tuning box and push some channels from 4 different bouqets to my PC. I know I can't do this with HD, but SD is fine with me.

This would just be an additional multiroom card.

Is their any reason this is a bad idea? Will it no longer be possible?

Yes fortunately my local area has a communal sat with an optical LNB, and I have 8 outputs on my hardware.

So with this, with 8 feeds, I could connect to 8 transponders and stream god knows how many channels to my linux server?!

Now I wonder how much CPU or what the max number of channels I could stream are.

    So the theory goes..

I get a Vu2+ box, install openvix and OpenWebIf addon.
I setup my own OSCAM/CCCAM server with connected sky card via an omnikey.

I configure the Vu2+ firmware/software as required (I will need to find the relevent guides)

I can then connect to, say for example, transponder 11082 H tp 65 and as I am a BT Sport HD subscriber I could, in theory, stream all of those channels from the box back to my Linux server?

Before I buy anything, can you see a flaw in my plan!?

Thanks again Joe, top advice that I really appreciate.

    Hello!

I am a bit of an linux geek, and recently have become very interested in the world of IPTV... Which led me on to being intrigued to create my own (For my own purposes).

I am looking to extract the MPEG TS stream file from several broadcast channels. These will all be on 28.2 Sky. I understand I can only do this in SD.

My first question is, is this possible?

Secondly, do I need 1 LNB feed per broadcast?

I have three Sky cards on a genuine paid up subscription, can I use one of the cards to make my own cardsharer? Can I make my one card produce whatever is required for my yet unpurchased new sat boxes?
