I just tried to install the gutemine_4.2-r9_armhf on my dm920, the prereqs worked but the install itself bricked my box. Happily i had a backup from yesterday but just in case someone else is trying to do it.. probably not a good idea!

I am really only trying to get an update to OpenEpg becase I keep getting gaps in my programme guide.

I wonder why "satellite coders" are so protective of their work, the whole system is based on Linux and life would be so much easier if things got shared in github.

ps, just noticed I put them in a "picons" folder. The folder on your box is "picon" (Now corrected the attachment)

The deb package crashed as well (slightly different message) but thanks for the picons I'll work through them to get them the names that will work on my box.

I guess that explains the struggle I had to get the right python setup (resulted in me having to reflash dream elite). There is a picon downloader with dream elite but it doesn't have any of the picons (freesat 28.2 e) that I want. maybe I can pick in their code and yours and find a way to get it to offer those i want.

I am trying to get this going on my DM920 running Dream Elite 7.2 I couldn't get the ipk to install, probably no longer possible although i did try with dpkg and even that wouldn't install.

I tried to copy it all from github onto my system but got into so much trouble trying to get the python to run, E2piconizer fails it seems because python pillow is missing. I couldn't get pip working well enough to be able to install pillow.
Does anyone have it going, can anyone offer any clues as to how they did it?

Bro, if you want to use images such as atv, pli, pure 2, and similar images on dream 9xx, then there is a Barry Allen plugin for these purposes. in the flash install the official from dream os.

look, I have all these images installed now in the receiver using the Barry Allen plugin, I can switch to any and use one of the installed ones. . read the topics on the forum and you can implement everything on your 920. Good luck!!!

I too have a dm920 and although I would love to use the standard software it seems that is no longer possible and no longer available (I'd be delighted if you could correct me) so, far from being a "perversion", it seems to be a necessity in order to get up to date working software for this box?

well I tried including the frequencies above in the scan and really it made no difference, I am still stuck with a now and next.

I imagine the issue is that epgrefresh with dreamos has no capability to interpret the EPG data from those frequencies.

I read (in another forum) and it seems to be the case that dreambox, or support of dreamos, is no more so perhaps I should try one of the many alternative images for my box.

I am reluctant to do that because I had some bad experience with alternative images on a vu+ but since I need the 28.2e freesat EPG it seems to be the only way unless someone here has it working

If there isn't a separate signal wire to tuner A2, then that is wrong.

FBC tuners/modules have internal loop-through. If he has only one signal wire, the other 7 modulators/tuners should be set as loop-through to the tuner with the signal wire. A1 in his case.

I am in the same position as this in that at the moment I have only one wire to the FBC tuner but I cannot see any setting in the configuration to set to "loop-through" can anyone point me at something that explains how to do this?

Thank you for all this information, I am away from home now for a few days so will have to look at it next week.

I was hoping to keep the image as standard as possible. I can specify a channel in epgrefresh where to take the EPG from so maybe I will have to try a combination of things.

I am trying to use the multiepg or graphicepg that basically came as default (I tried adding merlin but it made no difference. I also tried Epgimport but having tried to import the rytec UK freesat services it made no difference in fact it seemed to do nothing so I am continuing with EPG refresh which works fine for the Swiss channels but with little effect on UK (astra 28.2) channels. I have taken some photos of the configuration and have specified refresh on bouquet.

I know this is old but it is close enough that maybe I can get some help here.

I just got a new dm920 and am trying to get the EPG for UK channels to work. So far, for UK channels I can only get "now and next", EPG channel information from other services works fine. Did anyone find some way to get more than a "now and next" guide for UK channels?
