Newest the image, better it is, better if it's a compile of 2021, and has latest SSL/TLS support (as 1.0 and 1.1 are barred now, only 1.2 and above will work over VPNs).

It's a 2018 image, with the new SSL/TLS not present back then, it looks like that it will definitely not work with new VPN configurations...

This image is installed without problems, but it does not start, and the reason for this is Sim Japhar, I do not see any other reason
Japhar images are compiled and optimized for the Japhar Sim. So as other sims are not as performant as the Japhar, these will not be able to support and give all necessary power to run the image smoothly.

The OpenPLi 8.0star is fitting 64 Mb Flash memory no problem. You probably have other problems.

There should be no such thing, oscam buggy perhaps ? It's strange as the box is enough powerful with the 750 Mhz Broadcom CPU.
Do you use local cards or "friends" (that could have done some modifications) ?

We have enough boxes, better for the earth to not produce more electronics just for a test.
Adding as well as we are not a Team with deep pockets... momentum is not easy for everybody, and that's why we support very old boxes with new software, as our logic is to save the earth from electronics scrap, keeping it alive as long as possible with best and latest software.

sorry but the sx88 costs around 60.- so why don't you buy it yourself to test it ;)
Have already 30-40 boxes... and just to do a test, it's just better to ask to friendly members.

To add to your confusion..... the sf8008 (and mini ??) can run the sx88 firmware as well, all be it ported for the e2 device ;)

Optical wire is not yet supported, only HDMI on Open images (OpenPLi/OpenATV/OpenBH/PurE2).

Which channel as we have no audio problem, audio support was added last december. The audio output is via HDMI.

This cam needs special software that exists only for mips and arm, but not the DreamTwo chipset (AMLogic aarch64). Better to use OSCam with Tivusat Gold card.

Just keep it in NTFS/FAT32 and use it like that,

Just try to format it FAT32 or NTFS with a normal PC, just inserting it, the device should ne recognized and usable.
EmoSame problem for me. It does recognise the usb stick but gives an error while trying to initialise. Formatted in NFTS as well as in FAT32.

Yes, you need first to install the NewNigma2, then you can install the OpenPLi, OpenATV, OpenBH and PurE2.
OpenWebIf is on the Openimages, the DMM images have their own Webif.
