Japhar images are not built to be used with BA, and BA is NOT compatible with Open images.
Webinterface works fine on all boxes, so it could be related to your twisting of the image, this failure.
Japhar images need to be installed in Flash, and not Multiboot.

We updated until end of december. The the 8.0 changed many things, so you still have all stable feeds... we are working on the 8.0 for many boxes and will release when available. For niw the 7.3star is very good and stable, so use it until we release the 8.0Star.

That's a Sim2 2.01. If it's still fails with a Sim2 image, then it would mean the sim card is corrupted. So try first Sim2 images for DM800HDpvr... it will work.

For the DM8000HD, you have only available the Japhar Sim, that supports the latest drivers available for the DM8000HD, including the Kernel 3.2 (Ferrari used a 2010 driver with Kernel 2.6).
So, there is definitely an easy decision. Japhar ;o) is the way to go.
Concerning the drivers, the Japhar Driver supports a lot of the official drivers/Tuners (including the Dual Sat Tuner, the Hybrid T/C, etc), it could be possible to use the DM800HDseV1/V2 driver with some twisting... but in the facts, you don't need the driver, it's just enough to modify the xml satellite file, and the Triple/Trial tuner will work with Cable+Terrestrial+Satellite on any boxes.
Concerning the images, you have the choice between the Original OpenPLi 8.0 and the OpenPli 8.0star from Japhar Team.

I have about a dozen genuine DM8000HD receivers and I want to use some Sunray SR4T triple tuners with them.
Which OpenPLi image would be compatible and which SIM card is recommended for these configurations.

You need to open the box and check the sim card (As on the mobile phones) that is just behind the LCD et below of the Tuner, you will see it easily.
You could post a photo and we will tell you exactly which one you have, so you know which images you can flash in your box, knowing that important element.

Check first the sim you have in the box, to flash the correct image compatible with your sim installed... or change it to Japhar that supports all images for Sim 1.0, Sim2 2.01 and 2.10, sim Ferrari and naturally Sim Japhar.

You just have a driver for a specific box and architecture and specific image... that can be installed only in that box having that image.
I hope the logic is enough clear.

Third, the driver must be compiled with the image itself to be comoatible

Generally you need to reboot to have it active.
Also check to be sure that the epg is saved in hdd and not flash.

Yes check the sticker on the bottom side of the box, it should be indicated there if its v2. If there is no v2, it means its v1. Then open the box and at the left of the smartcard reader check the sim, then you will know which images you can use (to use japhar images it should be a japhar sim, if its different and you want to use japhar images you could replace the old sim with the japhar).

Around 2011-2013, you have DM500HD v1 (you have on sticker with serial number only DM500HD), then you have the DM500HD v2 that is printed on the DM500HD v2.
It's two different boxes (need different images), as the Ram/Flash is 128/64 Mb vs 1 Gb/512 Mb.
