Who says that? The Verimatrix CAS does not work on the 9865 decoders as far as I know. And the 9865 decoders are made by Cisco so I doubt they let Verimatrix fiddl with their encryption system just for a small and free network like AFN to be secure.

AFN has no subscription fees or sensitive information in its content anyway. Only a copyright problem and even there only for sports. The movies are old and no one cares if you watch Jeopardy far away from its intended home affiliate market. Watching AFN is only a problem within the US due to loss to affiliate networks and rebroadcasters, the hacks around the globe are basically meaningless.

Did not change anything in the configs....but you need valid EMM keys in the softcam.key

I too love the linux receivers. I always had them since the Dreambox came out. But lately it seems to be a good idea to have a 2nd option when it comes to encryption based issues.

The linux community has not been the fastest lately regarding reaction to encryption changes.

The chinese receivers are cheap and do not have a nice OSD or many functions but they have a fast support regarding emulators.

For me, PowerVu is the most important feature as of now and enigma based receivers pretty much suck in this field. Otherwise they are very versatile but it is very frustrating to have a 400 Euro receiver and not being able to watch channels a 30 Euro box can decode....

I think I will get one of the cheap China receivers that do their job so well and have an adequate support just in case.... 50-70 $ is worth the redundancy. But I honestly doubt Oscam will be working again very soon. No news lately and it is almost a week now...

Yes it is a real shame that the most sophisticated boxes cannot open the channels that a cheap 50 $ china receiver can.
