Hi I have bought an Alien2 and am going to put enigma2 firmware on, was told I could watch satellite TV through this!

Sorry you're going to have to explain your question to my question! I'm new to this and was only looking to use my Alien2 to watch satellite TV. Paid for channels? subs? All info greatly appreciated!

To ask a stupid question, do i have to wait till my sky has been switched off before I start to set-up my Alien 2 ?
