    50 clients ??????
    not good mate.

Just been counting, theres 46 boxes belonging to 22 people, my sister for example has 3 boxes in her house, christ my uncle has 4! lol

Listen I appreciate the rules, I understand where your coming from, I was just looking for a little help to keep it going after me dad died, ive been lucky its ran flawless in the 9 months hes been gone, I was just trying to get into a pretty cool community and project!

If ive offended anyone then please delete this!

    ask your 50 clients

    Meaning what exactly?

A little reminder of the rules would go a long way..
This wording suggests that it is not a hobbyist server.....no mention of peers anywhere....

Trust me its a hobbyist thing, half of them are close family, like I said, not my choice, I was simply trying to keep things going for my friends and family, if I cant get get my head round all of this its getting shut down, I make zero from this, the only reason ive been looking into it is its really had me interested the more ive read and learned the more Ive wanted to know! And again, I'm so new to all of this I'm not even sure what a peer is?

So, without going into details I sorta inherited a nice working CCcam server with about 50 clients on it, 99% of the time its spot on, however on weekends S## Sports really acts up right when you don't want it to! My short term solution is to just use a different S## Sports frequency which seems to work for now, however I really wanted to try and sort it our for good and learn a whole lot more in the process before I just shut it down and get rid completely!

So moving forward Ive grabbed my little netbook and done a fresh install of Ubuntu 12 then followed the great automated script tut from this forum to install Oscam r9584 and CCcam 2.1.3, using a SmartreaderV2 as I couldn't find a V1 and the one I have is used in my server, all setup and working! However I'm having a few teething problems!

1.After been overjoyed at it working I quickly noticed it wouldn't clear any sports or movies channels, I'm using a "multiroom" card if this makes a difference, however its a fully loaded card with BT Sports HD, comparing the entitlements with my old server and there exactly the same, dated until October?

2.Its quite glitch, every minute or so, mainly on S## branded channels, I'm just using the cardreader in the netbook usb at the mo, but will eventually have it in a powered hub?

3.Im assuming when I boot into Ubuntu Oscam and CCcam start straight away in the background, anyway I can stop that so I have to manually boot them?

4.Im trying to put a lot of effort into this to get a perfect running system, giving thr load of 50 clients on a weekend in the Oscam and CCcam setup ok? Should I consider a Oscam only with CCcam protocol setup?

    5. When running I noticed ecm times were running 0.2100 mark, my current CCcam server can give lower times, would it be beneficial to use Camd3 to connect to Oscam as opposed to Newcamd?

    6.I have 1 box, an old DM600 setup to send me Emms, will my configs allow this, also with the line - f: mam mam 0 0 1 { 0:0:1 }

Anyways heres my configs at the mo, please let me know if theres anything I should change, it would be much appreciated!!!

So as ive 2 weeks off work I thought id entertain myself by stepping into the Oscam world!

So far ive followed the wonderful tut to install Ubuntu 12.04 and the automated scripts for Oscam with CCcam! Great!

Smargo is configured and plugged in, however I'm stuck with the configs! I was hoping to drop in some configs to get me away so I can start playing about to see what does what etc! Can someone point me in the direction of such a thing, hopefully with a setup that will allow my Dreambox to pass on the updates it receives back to my server?

Really enjoyed myself so far, looking forward to getting stuck in!

Oh and hope what ive said makes sense, ive only been playing for the last 3 hours or so! lol

Nearly forgot, its for caid 0963!

sorted this out now its a cap c so will read CCcam.x86 -d -C home/desktop/cccam/CCam.cfg.
systems running and can get at the cfg file at desktop with no mucking about tho still now web info

everything is running fine, its only close family use it. my box works perfect no probs, config file is the correct one as used before and is being used. now then i took the server off fixed ip and now runs as auto dhcp, could this cause poblems as was at mates checked things from there and using the same netbook but on different ip i couldn't log in via vnc deffo got correct ip as checked when i got home and logged in instantly.
    Deffo stuck on this one

    hi
done a good search for this one.
got server running ubuntu and CCcam after bit help from members but one last thing is when i go to web page to check ecm's etc its blank as below its showing node id and clock is running but no info.
i had problems before as i run CCcam of dir on decktop and using the -C switch it goes to the config file in dir. deffo the only one as ive switched my box on and off with # key so why no info its all configured correct in CCcam.cfg and worked perfect before untill power cut. The webinfo is passworded which did work but now it doesnt ask for password so wheres it going to on my server as i think this is a clue, i tried cfg in var/etc but same thing just no info.
any help please on this final hurdle

hi alll and thanks for letting me use this orum
being playing with my cccam on ubantu home server but for some reason i cant run the files in same dir. what ive done is instea of putting in va/etc and /var.bin i made dir on desktop called cccam put the x86 and config in there for pure ease of use. now i can run x86 with command
    CCcam.86 -d
and runs perfect using the config from var/etc but i want it running from desktop dir as then its easy access so i used
    CCcam.x86 -d -c lower case d and c
still runs config from var/etc so try -C in uppercase and jsut gives me help. ive had it running perfect but system crashed and had to reinstall and fo the life of me cant remember how i did it, being thru my notes and cant see anything wrong with what im doing. ive also now lost the web interface as well tho its the same config file as ihad it backed up.
so what am i doing wrong im well used to dos but linux is throwing me as it took me ages to find out its very case sensitive as it wouldnt change to desktop till i noticed it was Desktop upper D.
