Hi, I just recently got an Ariva 253. I tried to load the Patch v1.28b6 but as reported elsewhere the box just continually reboots. I used RS232 null modem cable method to get back to the original firmware. Looking like the 253 can't be used for "sharing".

I found a solution to the 253 problem. A working patch.

Note: one way to stop the box continually rebooting is to disconnect the antenna inputs. This might at least allow a new stable image to be loaded via usb (worth a try).
