    Hi,

I have a Spiderbox HD6000 receiver and would like to use it with a Tivusat smartcard to get Italian TV.

I know that the Spiderbox has a Conax Smartcard reader built in and the card has a TivuSat Official SmarCam and Pre-Activated Smartcard, however the website with the card says "NOTE: IF YOUR RECEIVER HAS A SUITABLE CARD READER WITH MULTICRYPT CAM THIS CARD CAN BE INSTERTED DIRECTLY IN THE CARD READER NOT USING THE SUPPLIED SMARCAM."

My question is the embedded conax reader in the spiderbox a multicrypt cam that will work with this card.

    Hi,

I bought an Openbox V8 COMBO satellite receiver from a well known auction site and am bitterly regretting it - horrible user interface, lack of support/channel lists, unusable EPG and so on..... I chose the receiver as it was listed as twin tuner but when I finally came to install it found out that the 2nd tuner was DVB-T. So I am thinking of getting a different unit before this one gets hurled out the of the window.

I have seen the Xtend ET9500 offer on World of Satellite but, once bitten twice shy, wanted some feedback from anyone that has this unit.

    • How easy are they to setup,
    • How easy is the EPG to use and keep updated
    • Are channel lists readily available or easy to configure

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have downloaded the Spiderbox 6000 Channel editor 2.1.1 from the forum to create a custom channel list for italian channels on Hotbird 13E.

When I try to upload the ssu file into the receiver I get an update fail message (it very briefly flashes up header check failed).

Looking in the channel editor log file I see the following errors during save

10/9/2015 2:41:07 PM File Save Saving SSU File.
10/9/2015 2:41:07 PM File Save Byte Check. OK

10/9/2015 2:41:07 PM File Save Saving SSU File Failed. Index was outside the bounds of the array.

    My receiver is a Spiderbox HD6000 H/W version 01.00 S/W version 01.17 Date Jul 24 2014.

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong ?
