Appears to be a challenge to have EPG up and running.

Not sure, but it looks like several EPG services are running at the same time making conflicts. EPG disappear after a time or when zapping.

    • XStremity runs fine "alone", using it´s own .db
    • EPG-Import, to be used with JediMaker. I recommend to reboot before manual update.
    • "Unknown" EPG reads 7 days from TV8, Sjuan or TV4. Works fine with those above.
    • EPGrefresh makes conflicts and should be disabled/removed.

    • Other "Unknown" EPGs might make conflict or work fine??? Please advice!

Please correct if I am wrong, assume I am.

My EPG for iptv and the satellites was fine for a day or two, but I noticed that my Dreambox2 was hanging every morning after update.

If I try to update manually, first the sound disappear, then the picture hangs and then the Dreambox2 hangs. Working sign stops. Must take the power to reboot.

Even after a reboot and no epg-update, the system hang under shutdown and I had to take the power.

I appears that the epg.dat is corrupt. I can delete it, but the deleted file pops up again in same size from somewhere like a ghost. Either while importing or shutdown. Perhaps delete the file and take the power?

After numerous attempts and hangs, the epg.db was gone. Ran a new manual update and the new initial size was around 12Mb. No major errors in the log. epg.dat is now 25Mb, the corrupt file was 140Mb. The system does not hang any longer on shutdown.

Still no epg for the iptv, it might be there after 15-30 minutes... I hope, but no...

Then try a new manual update again. This time the sound disappear and picture freeze, ftp is working. After some minutes sound and picture is back. Probably some final processing takes too much cpu. Now the epg is back...

Q: Is there a secure way for deleting files (epg.db) so the deleted file does not pop up again?

Q: Is there a command for checking the filesystem on the internal memory if it is corrupt?

On my receiver it looks like there are four types of EPG:

    1. One updated from the dish (TV8, TV4 Guld/Film/Fakta or Sjuan). I don't know the file for this.

    2. EPGRefresh, this should be turned off or the EPG imported in "1." will be overwritten.

    3. X-Stremity updates /etc/enigma2/xstreamity/epg/iptvworld.nl/epg.xml

    4. EPG-Importer updates /etc/enigma2/epg.db

It was working fine a few days ago, but today all EPG was gone. Updated 1, 3 and 4, but iptv was still empty.

I guess something must be corrupt, since it was not possible to reboot from menu after running EPG-Importer. Had to use the switch. Out of memory perhaps?

After a while 15-30 minutes, the EPG was back. --- and gone next day...

    Oh happy day

Don´t know exactly what made it work. But follow the instruction above. Had done it several times before...

Changed: Load long descriptions up to X days to 3

    Changed: Server timeout to 8

Refreshed the satellites channels via TV8. (This has always worked.)

    Ran ManualEPG import

    Ate dinner :tongue1:

When I was back, the EPG was there in the bouquets. The UK is not there yet, but there was something about this elsewhere.

Database fixed, still no EPG and lost most sources.

Thanks for the above description, did no see it before I posted this. Will test it soon.

Still the same: EPG for the satellites, but none for iptv.

I was able to remove the epg.db using telnet as described in another tread. But no new was created after several reboots.

Now I thought I could reinstall the plugin "epginstaller" and unloaded it in Packetmanager - this was not a good idea :unhappy:

Anyhow, when I rebooted, the epg.db was there. But most sources was now missing (Rytec). Started a new import, without error messages. But still no EPG showing.

Now I need to put back the plugin "ipk". Years ago I used ipkg install /tmp/xxx.ipk

Seems to be another command or way to install. The ipk file is probably only deleted under boot.

FIXED: As KiddaC wrote it should be a .deb file.

    No EPG in favorites/bouquets

Is EPG working for other users?

Where can I find a manual?

(I have found one, but it did not solve the problem)

Not sure what I am doing wrong or if I have missed something.

I have a DB-two and runs XStremety 3.53-20211113. All seems ok here and the EPG shows correctly in XStremity.

[Blue button] EPGImport. Automatic import EPG = on, Load EPG only services in bouquets = on. ... days = 7

    [Sources] looks ok.

[Manual] counts 80,000+ events according to selected sources

in [Main Menu]-[Jedi Maker Xtream] I create he Favorites - seems correctly created.

Under plugin I run JediMakerXtremity V6.20

In the bouquet there are EPG info for the satellite, but not IPTV, there is no EPG info while zapping IPTV, but shows on satellite.
