I'm afraid what your looking for is a SKY+ BOX .
-
wetek play is far better more memory more images in nand or sdcard, Android or openelec, if you want a basic sat reciever then the solo would suit, but wetek has far more potential.

Great work as ever Honcho, does seem faster to me, will go with tvh seems easier than redoing channels on vdr can be a pain, also just reading about retro arch, sounds great for the games, keep up the good work mate
-
Great work honcho, slight problems you might want to know, when in vdr mode, channel list keeps loading repeatedly, also i have tried to change the menus in skin setup but they always revert back to yours, any ideas , thanks.

For those who are desperate, try mobile tethering, most providers can give 8mb or more on all you can eat plans,
how to mobile tethering, http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how…id-windows-phone-3441165/

satellite broadband is not in real time, you may need to use a fetch file to download content so there is a wait for this to happen, therefor not good for anything but downloading content, that is what i found when using some yrs ago, unless they have lightning speed now.

Appreciate any ideas here, got live tv all running, then had a problem when I was disabling a video addon system froze and had to unplug power now live to wont work, checked everything Honcho said should be enabled etc, but now getting same message I did earlier when switch on live tv no pvr clients have been started yet. Wait for PVR...
:( lost some setting when had to unplug maybe? All 3 VDR components are enabled and went back into live to to enable and still no luck?
goto live tv ,go to nr the bottom, clear data. should work after that.

@Honcho
ive just downloaded your working backup 6.0.3 version, the dropbox download says its 400mb is that correct?just wanted to check before attempting the backup, thanks
it will be yes.
-
Sorry Honcho, do u mean via winscp or similar I'm currently on winscp think have found them, but wanted to check was correct way to replace them before messing it up further :( as its finding more than 2 channels.conf?
yes winscp, login, kodi/userdata/addondata/servicemultimedia.vdr-addondata/config/ inside config delete channels.conf & replace with new channels.conf. log out and reboot wetek.
here is a recent channel config with bouqets for sky 28.2.
in order for bouqets to work, run kodi, goto/system/addons/pvrclients/vdrvinsiclient, pressok, pressok on configure, go down to: (create channel groups automatically on server) disable with blue light off by pressing ok. return out and rebbot wetek now all sections should show in live tv, in order to do this go into live tv, left arrow and left pane will open, go down to, group all channels, then click right to exit, you should see categories in order.
hope this helps.

Hi Dale094 I'm running in nand I believe?
Only weird thing was couldn't find micro sd were I'd placed the backup to run from, but managed it from USB stickIt is easier to do from PC, goto C: drive on the left pane click on network, let the network refresh, there you should see openelec, open it you will see files inside, goto backup, there you can copy you're tar file, go back to wetek system/openelec/ go down to restore backup, hey presto you have updated,
HOPE THIS HELPS.

Are you running in nand or msd.
-
Great work Honcho, you really are a star mate, the only thing android suffers from is a decent epg settings, i believe this cannot be done. thanks mate.
-
the worst image ever
Don't use it then, Mr leacher, you want everyone else to do the hard work and then use it for you're own gains, tell me what have you contributed towards any of the images you use. -
Thanks for the info mach1, will follow mnigma image, have used before but little buggy, hope the devs and wetek can sort out the bugs, would be great on nand same as openelec.
-
will no be no kodi according to senior openpli member
I don't see the point in having no Kodi, that is the whole idea of having e2+ Kodi, a box all in one, i won't be testing it without Kodi, my openelec works great at the moment with VDR bouqets and all channels sorted in sly order, why would you wan't to go backwards, if you just wan't e2 there are plenty of boxes out there that cater for E2, Wetek is not built for E2 only and pli is not the most stable anyway, vix is my favourite.
Just my little rant, Wetek is better than being used as a E2 box. -
Ive been in the satellite game for 30 odd years and like "lost" say's above, satellites are a dying breed now that internet connections are getting faster, streaming is the way to go, appart from sly, most other sats are now over the horizon and footprints are being squeezed , thus making it expensive and sometimes impossible to pick up sats even with massive dishes, i agree, satellites will be falling off walls and redundant in the next couple of years as streming company's will make old Rupert skint, my davice is to learn about streaming/Kodi, and the likes , at the moment Wetek, and vigica are the best boxes for development of streaming/satellite. by far.

PBnigma alt version leave all other images behind unless you like playing and wasting your time ......... the only image worth a mention
:thread killer:stevejo, could you give me a link to alt version ,thanks

Thanks Dale, tried this but in Storage there is only /backup /lost+found /music /pictures /screenshots /tvshows /videos not any folder for addons?
It's just a clean install of band 5.0.5 I done so no addons in yet, not sure what's wrong or why I'm short of space, unless the overwrite hasn't erased what was there before maybe?
Still stuck lol
Do as Honcho said start fresh, i would go to goto kodi/system/openelec, go down to update & update openelec then, from windows/my computer/network, here you see openelec, copy tar file to the backup file, go back to wetek/system/openelec, then retore backup. all should work fine, hope this helps -
winscp, In storage you should see Kodi, open kodi there you will find files addons, if you cannot see kodi in storage, hit, ctrl+alt+h to show hidden files
