Hi all, Im having a problem with my EPGimporter.
I have all Rytec UK Sat/Virgin XMLTV sections tickets but when it tries to import is goes through each of them and then only loads about 10% of the Sports/Movies (xz) section and completes.
This leaves me with no Sports/Movies data.
Can anyone advise? Ive tried removing the EPGimporter plugin and reinstalling through the OpenVIX plugins downloader but it still doesn't solve it.

Hello all
I have an issue with my duo2 lcd screen. I have loaded in a LCD4linux config that I downloaded to get the LCD as I liked but now it is showing two configs and I dont know how to get rid of the 'standard one' - I call it standard as it was what was on the box when I got it. Its the 'A,B,C,D and the grey progress bar along the bottom'
I have ran a search in filezilla for *LCD* to see if I can see two config files as there is only one in etc/enigma2/ which is the one I put in that I downloaded - 'Lcd4config'.
see images below of filezilla search result and the screen itself. I am new to all this so need an experts help.

Hi guys,
I have just bought a Duo2 but need to buy a HDD for it now as I thought I had one laying around but it turns out to be SATA and not SATA III
I have found a thread about VU+ HDD compatibility but the one I am looking at is not on it. Do any of you know if this HDD will work fine as its by far the best priced I can find - Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX
Thanks

Yea I just found this on the WOS site, def think it could be an option just to be sure I get a genuine box.

Thanks for your responses but is there actually any ways to spot a duo2 clone?

Seems like a reputible seller.
Website: vuplis.co.uk
Owns a shop in London
eBay feedback 99.9% on over 2000 sales.Does anyone have any insight on this guy?
Duo2 with 1Tb drive delivered for £315, sound too good to be true?
Please note I'm not advertising for this guy I am generally just asking your opinion if he's a scammer?

Hey guys
I'm planning to buy my first VU+ box and I've settled for a Duo2 but I'm wondering how to tell a clone from an original. I've done quite a bit of searching ad I can't seem to find anything on the Duo2's.
I've found images and pdf's on solo2's and solos but nothing on a Duo2.I have found one on eBay from a guy who claims to be an UK and Ireland Distributor of them but I just want to make sure it's not a fake.
Is there any way without opening it as I would send it straight back if it was a clone.

I know for a fact that the sky box only had the capability of recording a maximum of two programs at any given time.
With 2 tuner inputs on the rear you can either record one and watch another OR record two but you must watch one while recording. This limitation is part of the reason I want to swap to the VU+ box.
As far as my example above of a recording scenario on the VU+, is my thinking correct??

Okay from your explanation I now understand why I keep reading people saying about the 'ideal scenario' of the channels being on the same frequency / transponder.
To clarify, is it the VU+ box's ability that allows you to record multiple channels that are on the same frequency/polorization per one tuner as opposed to a sky box that only let you record one channel per tunner?
Eg. On the VU+ duo2, record itv, itv2, itv4 on LNB1 / bbc1, bbc2 on LNB2 + E4, Channel 4 on LNB 3 - so 7 programmes at once?

Hello guys/girls
First off I am sorry if this has been discussed before but I have searched and could not find an answer. If so please link me to the thread and admin close this thread.
I am looking at getting an VU+ DUO2 box but a cannot seem to find exact details on the 16 channel recording, please help as this is a attractive feature?
From what I have found I understand that you need an quatro LNB and x2 DVB-S2 dual tuners on the back of the box. This then gives you the 4 LNB inputs.
I also understand vaguely that to achieve the 16 channel recording capacity, the channels being recorded have to be on different quadrants of the signal spectrum - hence why people seem to say that to get 16 at once must be ‘perfect conditions’What I don't understand is that on a Sky box (only using as an example as its what I'm used to) there are 2 inputs, this allows you to record one and watch another, or record two but you must watch one of the recordings while recording.
Therefore theoretically with 4 inputs you should be able to record 4 at any given time - Correct? How is 16 possible with 4 inputs - assuming the ‘best conditions’ for arguments sake.
Are these boxes somehow able to record 4 programmes per tuner and if so, how? Finally does that mean with only 2 inputs you can record up to 8 under the right conditions?
Many thanks,
D
