if you open the .srt file in notepad.
Then click save as.
There is an option in notepad to save as utf-8

in fact that might not be an arabic font. It is a cyrillic font.
Maybe try one of these from google fonts
https://fonts.google.com/?subset=arabic
but the process of changing the font is outlined in the previous post.

my skins use the default replacement font. Which is a big ugly thing.

try this font (which is the font I use for xstreamity and should be fine for arabic)
had to zip it to upload, so needs unzipping.
copy it to /usr/share/fonts/then in your skins skin.xml
change the replacement font to that new file
i.e.
<font name="Replacement" filename="/usr/share/fonts/m-plus-rounded-1c-regular.ttf" scale="100" replacement="1"/>

in my skins I split my files out. These would live in general.xml in my skins

wuwu your issue is related to the epg mod, that mod hasn't been looked at for some time

fonts are declared in the the skins skin.xml file. Which will over rule any default skin elements.

there is also a screen called "SubtitleDisplay" I think has some relevance.
I always have this set as this in my skins
<screen name="SubtitleDisplay" position="0,0" size="1920,1080" zPosition="-2" flags="wfNoBorder" backgroundColor="transparent" />
there is also another screen called<screen name="Subtitles" position="0,0" size="1920,1080" backgroundColor="transparent" flags="wfNoBorder" zPosition="-1">
to be honest I don't know if those screens are still true. It was a while ago I created my own skins.
Then obviously you have the settings.
Yellow button > leftturn on subtitles - exit
yellow button > left > red button (quick subtitle menu)
you also have the main subtitle settings
Menu > setup > audio > Subtitle settings
Do any of my skins display it correctly.
And what does openatv default skin show - surely that is correct. -
Hi KiddaC hope your doing well mate. I was just wondering if there is anyway too get the Movie Planner Mod or EPG Buttons / Tabs Mod working for Slyk Q 1080 & Slyk 1080 R19 on open Black hole 4.4 or 5.0, 5.0 is python 3 though. it would be great to get them working on open BH. the skin works fine though. thanks for all you do mate have a merry christmas
The way this has been coded now, it should be easier to convert to other images like OBH, pure2 etc.
But just trying to figure out vix first as that is a popular image in the UK, and the sky skins this this movie planner mod is aimed at is mainly that market.
Lots to digest with all the different code bases so we just got to be patient. -

but your line should read

enter that full url in a browser window and it should either display the file, or download the .m3u file to your windows download folder.
Then you need to search that file for a series and see how it is displaying series. (if there are any series)
change the =m3u to =m3u_plus will give a more detailed response.

XStreamity and Jedi do not function the same way.
In jedi the series are populated from the get.php url. It is looking for /series/ in the stream data.
If your provider doesn't populate series this way in their api, then no series will be brought in.
Download your get.php url in a windows browser.
Do a search for a known series title and look at the structure of the stream pathi.e

your provider might put these in a /movie/ folder instead of /series/ in which case you may find your series are actually in vod folder
You can also try upping the server timeout in main settings if your server is slow to respond, or your source is huge.You can private message me your iptv line if you want and I can check how your provider is writing its series data

what are you using to create your image Xorion Bootlogo Maker?
Maybe override the default black.mvi with your radio image in /usr/share/enigma2

There was a bug on openatv at the beginning of the year.
Are you using an old openatv.
/usr/share/enigma2/radio.mvi
If that doesn't work copy it to /etc/enigma2/if that doesn't work try a 1280 x 720 image
if that doesn't work update your image

In am turning them on in system / log settings.
I think this problem has been around a while on my vu zero 4k.
My last install a few months ago, I did something to kick them in, and I cant remember what.

OK I got a few issues.
Firstly the latest nighlty download for vu zero 4k doesn't boot up. It crashes on load. (unfortunatenly I have no log as I deleted it)
Had to revert to several days back to get it to work.
Secondly, debug logs do not work at all. Turn then off and on and nothing is being shown in /home/root/logs
How can I fix this please - I need to have debug logs on
